I get irate at people trying to be friendly on the road. There are rules. Follow them. Don’t be waving at people to go when you yourself have the right of way because you are trying to get into heaven or something.
This annoys the snot out of me. Ran an errand earlier today and had to make a left turn from a busy street to a side street. There was a red light a couple hundred yards downstream of oncoming traffic and a truck stopped short of the intersection to wave me through. Hey lady, that's nice of you and whatnot, but traffic isn't backed up in the lane to your right yet so other cars in your direction are zooming along, and I can't see them approaching through your brown s**twagon. The light turned green..... and she just sat there, and by this time there was no traffic backup in her lane. She just sat there like a stupid gibbon pondering its navel lint.

lol, I loathe the people at four way intersections that just cannot grasp the natural order of things. Especially intersections where 90% of cars are *not* turning. Just keep it flowing.

I'm not really all that irritated by this, but Milkshake Factory is still running the ads where if Jake Guentzel scores, then the Jake's Shake is 50% off. I'm thinking Milkshake Factory hasn't spent much money on that particular promotion recently.
I was listening on Sirius/XM last night and I thought the commercial said "X amount of goals by the Pens" or "after a Pens win" or something like that. I didn't hear anything about Jake having to be the one who scored.

DST is great.

Extra hour of daylight in the evenings to walk the dog/play with my daughter outside, and "solar noon" is an hour later so you get that afternoon warmth a little later in the day.

This is a bad take and you should feel ashamed.

This is correct. I support permanent DST. I don’t care how dark it is in the morning.

We don’t need DST. Stop moving the clocks in the fall and let it roll.

Stopping the fall movement inherently means DST

I actually like that it gets dark early in the winter. It's shitty anyway. I think it not getting light out until 830 or later in the morning would actually affect me more negatively than the earlier sunset.

Today is a perfect day for the first day of DST. 60 degrees, nothing but blue skies and warm sunshine, and it's almost 630 and the sun is still up. And even nicer tomorrow

The plumber I’ve used for years (and gave lots of money to) just up and moved away for another job and didn’t even give me a heads up. I was in the middle of scheduling a job with him and I asked him last week how his schedule looked and he said this week was busy but maybe he could swing by this past weekend. I hadn’t heard from him Friday so I messaged him. No response. Messages him Sunday..no response. Today I asked him how this week looked and he told me he moved a few hours away for a full time job. But he was sorry. Way to leave your customers in the dark. Arrgh now have to find a new plumber.

I’ve actually had really good success finding contractors on Angie’s List - plumbers included.

2nd time in 3 weeks someone has parked in front of the garage I rent to park while I'm at work.

Somehow the big white garage door and yellow sidewalk markings don't seem to signal "DON'T **** PARK HERE"

If it's a yellow curb, could you call the city and have them towed?

Yeah, there's no sign with a towing number there...? They're literally every 16 feet here...

Yeah. I've called twice. First time the student got there before the tow truck. Today, they (different person) got there as the tow truck was readying the ramp.

Funnily enough, same cop showed up both times.

No, I pay to rent the garage space (it's under a home/apartment thing that students live in).
