this is true. not sure if it's a New England thing or not but my SO is from Boston and she gets really upset if you call them Rainbow Sprinkles or Chocolate Sprinkles. it's Sprinkles and Jimmies. she claims that they are different shapes too. not sure if I believe her though because she also calls a water fountain a "bubbler"Sprinkles are colorful
Jimmies are chocolate

That's bubblah.
And yes, she is correct about jimmies vs. sprinkles. You go to Friendly's and get jimmies on your sundae.

The true Philly Special, where 4-5 people walk side/side with each other down an 8’ wide sidewalk in center city.
People that walk slow (which is fine) but in the middle of the hall/walkway. "Do you Sunday cruise in the left lane while driving too? Get the **** out of the way, ass!"

Also in Mew England they have the curious construction of “So aren’t I” instead of “So am I.”
Well are you or aren’t you?

Actual Facebook post from a friend of mine. This is a guy I worked with for two years, and after I moved I heard from him exactly two times. Both were the week before MLB The Show released asking me for a free copy.Making a short trip to PA in December!
Flying in Saturday morning 12/1 and heading back Monday night 12/3. I got a car, but need a place to crash!

Tell him he can stay at your place, then give him an old address you had when you lived in PA.

I've more or less stopped getting lunch with co-workers. I go home for lunch, enjoy sitting on my couch with my dogs for a bit before heading back to work, but today I was invited by a group that I like and haven't hung out with for a while, so I decided to join. The grinding involves inviting people... this exact conversation was had with two different people:
"Hey, we're heading to lunch, you wanna join?"
"Where ya heading?"
"We haven't decided yet... anywhere in particular you wanna go?"
"Oh... I can't go."
I know it's stupid to get frustrated about, but if the answer to the first question is "no", then why the hell don't you just say that?

People who walk down the middle of a parking lot, with a line of cars behind them. Dude turns around with his arms up in the air because he didn't like how close I was to him (5-6' away). Move, dodint, get out the way.

One of the local communities is requiring kids to pick up an identification tag at the fire hall before going trick or treating.

That gif perfectly sums up my reaction to that.
Oh, you want a Snickers bar? SHOW ME SOME ID, TOMMY - IF THAT REALLY IS YOUR NAME.

I could see a couple of rationales for that. One could be excessive helicopter-parent safetyism where they want the kids to all have ID tags in case anything goes wrong. Another rationale (probably unspoken, because it might also be motivated by racism) would be keeping out kids that are trying to come into the neighborhood from other poorer neighborhoods because the candy pickings are better in the rich neighborhood. Either way, it's stupid.

Ordering food online for pickup, and they don't start preparing your order until you show up at the store. Thank you for entirely defeating the purpose.

That sounds like Lowes. Every time I do an online order,it takes longer to pick up than it would have to hunt down all the stuff myself.

hah.
I ordered something for pickup at Lowes and it wasn't ready. I went back and grabbed it, brought it up to the pickup counter and had them scan it out.
