Nothing like opening old wounds...thanks tif
btw Kenneth, those were some of my favorite super panther teams. Walt Harris knew how to recruit WR's and QB's. Not that the QB's had all that much talent, but they could fling a ball with guys like Murphy, Bryant, Fitz snatching everything out of the air. The game against WVU where pistol Pete converted on a 4th and forever to set up the win in OT was one of my favorite games ever.

I was 13 years old in 1997, so at that point, crappy pitt football was all I had known to that point. it was such a foreign concept to watch a fun team that was good enough to beat a team other than Rutgers, temple, or a #maction team. exciting times indeed.

I don't even know how this is possible, let alone how it has happened twice with different people:
They put down an address ON THEIR W-9 that they did not live at at the time of the request. We use the W-9 address to mail the checks to.
The first instance: Guy puts address on W-9. Check gets returned because he doesn't live there. His response? "Oh, we were planning on moving there but ended up moving to a different house at address ______." So if you never lived at that address, and never will, why are you putting it on IRS documents?
For the most recent one, they didn't not move in until 8/5. Problem: the check was sent out to that address in June and returned by the post office in July. Still well before that person ever set foot in that house.
Why do people do this?

IMO, those people deserve to never actually receive those checks.

Is it even worth reporting to the IRS as falsification of tax forms? Is that even a violation of anything?

What you should really be complaining about is that it's 2019 and your organization does payroll by paper check instead of direct deposit.
You know what really grinds my gears...
It is not payroll.
It is for both vendors who do not provide direct deposit information and for guests. We cannot enter guest banking info.
In both cases, these were guests who filled out their own W-9s.

...people who merge on to 279 south from mcknight that feel the need to merge in to the middle lane IMMEDIATELY with wanton disregard for oncoming traffic. its like people dont remember from the prior day and the 1000 prior they have done that on their commute that that lane lasts for quite a while. also, learn what this sign means

I listened to a podcast about this the other day and was shocked the host was pro trailer ball. Insanity.People that drive around with their trailer ball on all the time.
Supposedly part of the reason people (claim to) leave them on is to keep people from looking into the bed of their truck when walking through a parking lot. Amazing the mental gymnastics people go through to validate being a shitheel.

Can't somebody just walk up, remove the pin, and walk away with your trailer ball in that state?

I think motorcyclists are almost worse than bikers when it comes to self righteousness and not policing their own bad behavior. All you ever hear is how much we "four wheelers" need to watch for motorcycles, but you never hear anything about all of the crotch rocket D bags flying up between lanes, weaving in and out of traffic, etc. Not to mention all of the non helmet wearers.
Nobody is forcing you to drive a vehicle that puts you at a far higher risk of dying in a relatively minor accident. Get off it.

Lane splitting is one thing, but I've seen motorcyclists lane split at like 50 mph.Lane splitting is legal in CA.
