I went to the US Open at Pebble Beach in June 2019 and it was freezing. I had no idea it could get that cold in June in middle Cali

To each his own, but I think you're crazy, Shyster. Sunshine is good for the soul.

flipping through channels, saw the Flintstones live action movie was on. Stayed only because for some reason I thought Linda Cardellini was Betty (I have a crush on her). Betty finally came on screen and...she’s played by Rosie O’Donnell

what a **** disappointment
Terrible movie.
My kids were watching "League of Their Own" last night and I totally forgot she was in that movie as well.

I know of at least two people who use Comic Sans in their e-mail signature. Neither are doing it 'for laughs', and both are older than 50 (NTTAWWT).

Some fonts are best for display purposes, such as posters and advertisements.
Some fonts are best for long stretches of running text on paper, such as books.
Some fonts are optimized for on-screen reading.
Some fonts are optimized for compact legibility, such as fonts designed specifically for newspapers.
Some fonts are designed to evoke specific time periods or artistic movements.
Some fonts are designed to mimic handwriting.
There are as many types of fonts as there are purposes for fonts, and there are many, many purposes for different fonts.

If anyone is interested, some good books on the subject of typography are The Elements of Typographic Style by Robert Bringhurst, A Short History of the Printed Word by Warren Chappell, and Why Fonts Matter by Sarah Hyndman.

I ordered Helvetica : homage to a typeface for our library a few years ago. A book about a single font. Actually pretty interesting.

Arial is a poor ripoff of Helvetica. For Microsoft Word system fonts, I'd use Franklin Gothic or Gill Sans instead. I use Franklin Gothic Medium as a contrasting san-serif heading in my pleadings and briefs.

Oh hell no. Monospaced typefaces are obsolete.
