These cars that have their reverse lights on in a parking lot, but I don’t think they are in reverse. It’s weird and it pisses me off

Good one. Are there some makes with remote start or unlocks that turn the backup lights on? I seem to see this a lot. These cars that have their reverse lights on in a parking lot, but I don’t think they are in reverse. It’s weird and it pisses me off

Yeah, a buddy of mine was complaining about having a parking lot standoff with a truck that wasn't even occupied.

That’s what prompted me to post that. I was on the sixth floor of a garage and this chick in a Caddy is sitting there with her back up lights on. So I stop. I wait. I wait. I friendly beep. I double beep. I lay on it. She cracks her window and waves at me with a “keep going” motion. I swear. I drive on.

Back-up lights? Should have been a question in the dialect quiz.

A dealership responds to my web inquiry: I would like to discuss how simple it is to shop using the Internet and how I can save you time and effort. Call me.
Why do I have to call you to shop and save time on the internet?

I’d reply back with “I’ll contact another dealership instead.”

Earlier this month, my neighbor diagonal from me had one of those projection Christmas displays on their house. I think it was supposed to be snowflakes but it was multicolored and would spin really fast. They didn’t have it aligned right so some of it hit my house so all night I would just see rapid flashing blue and red lights out my windows. Looked like police cars were outside my house. Annoying as hell but last week they fixed it and repositioned the projector.
I get a few days break but then neighbor directly across from me put up yellow and multicolored flashing lights along his fence. So once again I have flashing lights in my windows all night. Grr. Luckily only a few weeks left.

Nah. If 5AF has taught me anything, he should go over there after everyone is asleep and rip all of the wiring and lights out of the ground. And slash his tires.Say something

Our diagonal neighbor has a projection thing, but it's from Halloween. They just changed the bulb from orange to green, so he's got Mr Yuck colored Jack-o-lanterns sweeping across his garage door.

Depends on which ones, IMO. I have two projectors for Halloween - flying witches and ghosts. The ones I'm seeing for Christmas are basically just green dots.Boy, I hate those projectors. Just lazy decorating.

I have the flying witches one for Halloween. For Christmas, I have one that projects different colored lights (you can change the pattern), but I also have lights strung in our Japanese Maple, the light up candy canes, a couple inflatables, etc. I think they look nice as long as they are in conjunction with actual lights.

Yep they are lazy and look really stupid. Just don't put anything up and you would be better off.

It's just that my neighborhood is filled with them, and the houses all look the same within about three variations or so.
Now those Halloween projectors, that's a different story.

Just buy a couple and put them up when she's out running errands so she'll come home to Hoth. She'll love it; women love surprises. It's just that my neighborhood is filled with them, and the houses all look the same within about three variations or so.

Please allow me to repeat my annual gripe about XM radio playing Christmas music on non-Christmas channels. There are nine different holiday channels covering just about every genre one could think of, and if I wanted to hear holiday music, I'd be listening to one of them.

Haha, Mrs Tif's favorite channel over the summer was Yacht Rock. But apparently that channel # is theme-rotated every few months. During fall, it was Billy Joel, who Mrs Tif does not like. Now, it's Manheim Steamroller, who Mrs Tif also does not like. And I'm like "I can't really tell the difference between the three...", which, turns out, she also does not like. Please allow me to repeat my annual gripe about XM radio playing Christmas music on non-Christmas channels.
