When I heard BR when I watched Waynes World when it first came out, it's the first time I ever heard the song. I guess I was 13. I bet it took until I was 25 to realize it wasn't a made up song for the movie. I don't think I've ever heard it on the radio.

Sure I get it that a 22-year old might not know Killer Queen or Fat Bottomed Girls or Hammer To Fall or.......... any number of other Queen songs. There are certain pieces of repertoire that transcend their time and place, and BoRap certainly is that. It's a goddamn meme.

I prefer the Rat Pack version of Mack the Knife, personally.
Don't you disrespect Bobby Effing Darin!

I was thinking Bobby Darin was still alive and occasionally performing, but turns out he died when I was 2. I think I was thinking of Bobby Sherman. Actually turns out he traded in his mic for a badge and was a sheriff and EMT in San Bernardino. So I don't know who I was thinking of.

Give Bobby Darin his respect, or Kevin Spacey will rape you!

Fair enough.

I think most 22 year olds if they heard BH would probably go...hey I heard that somewhere at some point, but wouldnt know the name or the group or the song.

I have lots of songs like that... I hear them as background noise, so I know of them, but couldn't tell you who sung them or what the name is.
that's me at 41. I've heard of the famous artists and heard the popular songs before, but if you told me the top 10 most famous musical artists right now I couldn't name 1 of their songs.

Didn't Panic at the Disco do a pretty successful cover of BR a couple years ago? I think it was in one of those terrible comic book movies that I don't watch, but I still know about it.

I saw them do it live at a festival. It was a little over-done, to be honest. But considering I was never going to hear Queen do it live, I guess I'll take it...

Were you in Pgh in 1980? It was my first concert at the Civic Arena.

I know two people who were at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in London. That's my vicarious rock experience for you.
