I get irrationally angry when cars have their center brake light burned out. Like, almost punch the steering wheel in anger angry.

Try driving behind not-poor people that can afford cars with LED brake lights. Like, every car made for the last decade or so. I even retrofitted them to my '93 BMW when I still had it.

Me? I was advocating for LED lights because they will never burn out. Advocating meow drive in nicer neighborhoods.

Ahh, gotcha. While on the topic, the new LED headlight trend sucks. Xenons or bust.

I don't understand why when cars with LED headlights turn off when the turn signal is on. Has anyone noticed this?

Yeah. Huge **** pet peeve of mine. I've been told they don't do it at night so it's not a big deal. It's obnoxious.

I really like the Jeep Wranglers with LEDs around the headlights. Pretty cool way to get daytime running lights to not look like dim headlights.

On most cars, this is done so that other drivers can distinguish the turn signal from the DRLs. There's more to it, though: https://jalopnik.com/heres-why-modern-c ... 1792394567

It looks dumb to me, as well.

Last night, it was pretty much completely dark, and some old redneck in one of those older trucks was driving the opposite direction, with no headlights on. You literally could not fcking see him until you were right up close.

Related to that, if I am going down a two lane road and an old beater truck pulls out in front of me, I immediately start cursing. Without fail it is some old guy or a hayseed that will go 10 under the speed limit with their arm hanging out the window. It's maddening.

It looks dumb and from an engineering standpoint it drives me nuts. Are people really having a hard time telling the difference between orange and white?

I think it's more of an issue where the cars DRLs are the same LEDs as the blinkers, right down to the color, so some people have a hard time telling if the blinkers are on because they're so close to the DRLs.

Of course, they don't have this problem in Jersey, due to the fact that nobody actually uses their blinkers over there.

Wow... Some white trashy mom I went to HS with just posted that her 4 year old son has four cavities, despite brushing twice a day...when someone asked her what the dentist said, this was her response:
No soda ever they said probably cause he eats and or drinks before bed after he brushed his teeth
Good lord... You don't say?

That kid must have no tastebuds, because I don't think I've ever eaten after brushing and not had it taste like dog vomit.

I talked to my dentist about that and he said it's really more about the chemical makeup of the bodily fluids that determine that kind of thing. I don't have cavity problems despite brushing once a day and drinking a fair bit of soda. But I do have a gum issue that most people don't have to deal with.

I've read that some people are more susceptible (maybe even genetic) to cavities than others and of course not brushing, flossing and eating sugary stuff, etc makes you higher risk too.

Anyone else been behind cars where the brake lights are activated even when they aren't braking? Like its noticeably brighter but they are driving straight. Then it will randomly go back to running lights. Would it be because of the parking brake being on or something else?

Oh and I don't know how people can drive at night with no headlights on. Like you should be able to tell you can't see that good and compare to other times you have driven at night, right? I can tell in a second. I've seen it places without any streetlights. Bizarre.

I had a spate a few years ago where fillings I got as a kid just up and failed. To date, I've had two teeth extracted because fillings broke and took part of the tooth with it, a third that the dentist said could stay behind (so it's in my jaw as a half-tooth), and a fourth where the filling broke, the dentist said I could keep it, but it created uneven bite pressure, which resulted in a fractured root which became infected and led to extraction.

Tl;dr -- I'm down 3 1/2 teeth.

I think that's more likely the driver is riding the pedal.
