Back in the day my dad drew a 1 in front of the 2 to buy himself some extra time. Lucky for him he never got caught.

You also have to pay property tax on your vehicles in NC every year. There goes $800 for little to no reason.
I always thought they were pretty clever. They don't have sales tax. But they do have a 3% Highway Use Tax that you pay when you register a vehicle for the first time. It's clever because it catches all new and used car purchases, but also everyone that moves to NC from out of state. We would have people rotate in from other Marine bases and get handed this giant registration bill when they brought their fleet of cars with them.

mazon Fire tablets

See Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals on both the 10" and 7" devices. I'm like "I hate my tablet and old phone. They are old and can't be updated to the latest Android OS, and the tablet in particular is a recalcitrant POS. I shall replace them." So between the special sale price and the cunning use of reward points, I basically only had to go out-of-pocket the cost of liberating the devices from lock screen ads. The devices were delivered yesterday, and through the process of setting them up I learned that they are, for my purposes, functionally devoid of any real utility. Installing Google Chrome on them is like a 15-step process, and the apps I wanted to use the smaller device for aren't compatible with it; YouTube isn't an app, it's a bookmark to the mobile version of the website. Just, you know, all of the hoots.

Ultimately this is a 'me' fail. But I just can't envision a reality where it would ever occur to me to verify that an Android device could run Google apps.
I mended it.

Wonder if having Cherry Point, Bragg and Lejeune with the constant flow in and out had anything to do with standing these taxes up

When I first left home, I lived in Gaithersburg MD. On one occasion, my car was towed from the parking spot in front of our townhouse bc my registration had expired 3 days prior. I had to get a ride twenty miles away to get it, cash only trashy junkyard, 300 bucks.

I thought my car was stolen. No note or anything.

I started watching them at night... They would quietly go through the neighborhoods in the middle of the night with flashlights checking tags/stickers. Really shitty.

Yeah, like getting the property management company to tell them they are trespassing.

Veggie Straws. No fiber, no protein, no vitamins or minerals.

what’s the point of them if they’re as unhealthy as potato chips?

To fake people out into thinking they are eating "healthy".

In the defense of Veggie Straws, that’s most health food.

I feel like one of the Veggie Straws producers came into some trouble because their product is misrepresenting...uh...how good it might be...

Videos that say "Watch till the end"

No. Just have your internet video get right to the point. Any video that says that is an immediate close. Don't you tell me what to do...

I started seeing a new therapist in June oof this year. She's really great and I have a strong relationship with her. Recently she decided to leave the company she's been working with to work in a private practice. through this process I learned how **** shitty the company is

1. she originally told me past therapists who gave their two weeks notice were fired on the spot. she wasn't fired immediately but she was just fired today (she previously told me they were going to allow her to work until the 22nd but I just got an email from the company that she is no longer working there; she and I had an appointment scheduled for next week which is now not going to happen obviously)

2. apparently they make their clinicians to sign a noncompete which disallows them to practice within a 100 mile radius or something from their office. she said her lawyer said that was unenforceable but still

3. the noncompete also disallows her to even communicate to her clients directly that she's going to be opening up her own practice. as she was telling me this, she was wink-winkedly saying "I could ask certain questions" about it but that she couldn't tell me unless asked

idk, that all sounds weird as **** but it's made even worse that this is therapy were talking about. very heavy stuff and people's mental health is involved. **** this company

Repo men are allowed to access private property to effect the repossession. If the vehicle is not behind a fence, or gate, or door, they can grab it; hey can't go inside your garage, but they can take your car from your driveway.

These weren't repo guys, but looking at cars on private propery to see IF the registration had expired. If it isn't expired then I would say that is trespassing.
