$55 for a pair of shorts? Do I look like I'm made of money?

Use that fat tax return.

I have a bunch of old navy active shorts that look nice enough to wear every day and they don't look like baggy gym shorts. Then I have a few pair of "nicer" khaki/golf shorts to wear to places that I need to look kind of dressed up which is rare. I kept one pair of my cargo shorts just so I can wear them every once in a while to see the look on my wifes face haha.

I wear the jcrew shorts pretty much every day.I wear JCrew for “nice” shorts. But I’m also of the mind that if you need “nice” shorts, you should be wearing slacks of some sort

I don't understood the hostility to cargo shorts. How do you guys carry all of your stuff in the summer when you don't have a jacket?

I cash in all my dad chips for cargo shorts.

Phone, keys, wallet. What else do you need?

Wife's phone because she doesn't have pockets, 1 or 2 items that belong to my kids, and eventually garbage when no can is around and you shouldn't litter.

I have two things I always carry with me: fob and phone. When needed, I take my money clip wallet (or just a single card if I can do that). No need for more than one to two pockets.

I've only ever had 1 pair of cargo shorts. They were fine but a bit too baggy.

That's why pocket holsters exist. I'm quite fond of the DeSantis Nemesis. Works great and very comfortable with a suitably compact gun.
For me, it's phone, keys, wallet, gun, Swiss Army knife, pen, small hand-sanitizer bottle. Maybe a flashlight, although I do have always have a Streamlight Pocket Mate on the key chain.

That’s a ludicrous amount of things to carry every day. You don’t need cargo shorts, you need a European carry-all.

Incredulous lack of use of the prison wallet around here.

Thank God. Just want I want, a Gravy Seal fumbling in his cargo shorts to pull out a gun to shoot someone. If it’s in a cargo pocket it’s more akin to a security blanket than a defensive weapon at that point. No self respecting gun owner would just throw their weapon in a pocket… problem is we have enough owners with no self respect.Guns.Phone, keys, wallet. Gun goes in right front pocket. Other stuff goes in the cargo pockets. The draw isn't any worse or slower than, say, an appendix or IWB holster.

Why a flashlight if you have a phone?

I'm guessing that the phone flashlight is much better at close up lighting vs a powerful fully functional flashlight. Why a flashlight if you have a phone?

LED technology has made even small flashlights amazingly bright. A little LED flashlight that can slip into a pocket is way brighter now than those massive multi-D-battery halogen flashlights from back in the day that could have doubled as baseball bats. There's no way a phone can even come close to a dedicated flashlight like a Streamlight ProTac.
