I get you're home in comfy clothes, but can you really not be comfortable without a **** ball cap on?

I’m bald with bad lighting. The hat is used to reduce glare. But it’s a hat with our logo on it.

Who cares imo. If you're meeting with a client or have a job interview, that's one thing. Sitting at home when there's most likely a crying baby, barking dog or shoddy internet connection - wear the hat all you want

I wore a Pinky and the Brain shirt one day and was asked to dress more appropriately moving forward.

I don't wear a hat all day, every day but I do wear it a lot. I have naturally curly thick hair and even with gel, sometimes it defies gravity and has a mind of it's own.I never really understood the people who wear hats all day every day anyway

I care! This is the grinds my gears thread after all...Who cares imo. If you're meeting with a client or have a job interview, that's one thing. Sitting at home when there's most likely a crying baby, barking dog or shoddy internet connection - wear the hat all you want
I dont find it to be disrespectful, and its "unprofessional" by the book but i dont care about that. For me its really just... why? You wouldn't wear it to the office (although people that wear their hats on their commute always bothered me too) so why wear it at home?!?
Bad hair is a bad excuse. If you know you have a teams meeting, make an effort!

The next time anyone wants to get lippy about 'frosted tips' I command you to refer to the preceding dozen or so posts here.

The notion of a hat being unprofessional is dumb. To me that's no different than the boomers thinking business only happens in an office while wearing a suit.

If I was on a teams meeting with a potential client or current client I would forgo the hat and throw on a polo assuming we had cameras on (we never do though).
If I'm on a teams meeting with my internal teammates, or others in our own company and we had our cameras on (which we never do) I would wear a hat no problem.

Some hats are more professional than others. Put on a nice fedora or homburg.

...when you go to clean your windshield with the wiper/washer and you smear a dead bug right through your line of sight. Short of a hurricane, that smear isn’t coming off until you clean the window properly. Just a real minor PITA.

Living in a small town grinds my gears for a variety of reasons, but breaking HIPAA leads all of my grievances.
I went to my doctor yesterday at 9 am for a skin rash. No big deal. I was back at work at 10 am. My wife’s school secretary asks her “How’s DG66 feeling?” My wife was like “Fine?” The secretary’s sister works at the doctor’s office and our last name is very unique for the area, so she ran her mouth to the sister...and away we go.
Ugh.

Yeah, probably. This used to happen with my kids' pediatrician when they were younger. Except it was someone I worked with was related to someone in that office.
