Thankfully, my wife is a "just get in the car" kind of person now. If we have a four hour drive to go home at the end of a weekend away, she just wants to get in the car by 7 AM (even with daughter in tow) so we can get home by 11-12 and have the rest of the day on Sunday. I'm grateful. It takes my wife over 20 minutes to change out of scrubs for some reason right now. We have a 500mi drive ahead of us. No, it's okay, take your time.

Scrubs actually seem like a pretty good choice of outfit for a 500-mile drive.

Not if you work in a hospital. My wife is a PT and some of the things she has to deal with....Scrubs actually seem like a pretty good choice of outfit for a 500-mile drive.
First thing she does when she gets home is change her clothes.

Driving on a two lane road, and there’s a woman in the left lane doing 10 below the limit (35). I get into the right lane and pass her, moving into the left lane about 50-60’ in front of her. I check my rear view and she’s vigorously flipping me off. Canaan.

She pulled up next to me at the next light still waving her arm around, so I started laughing at her. Seemed like she got angrier.

I really need to control my anger with cigarette smokers. I let someone in that needed to turn, and then she promptly proceeded to flick her butt out the window to the point where it almost hit my car. Road rage was immediately engaged...I went around the side of her and started yelling at her through my open window.
Obviously not good, but holy **** do these people enrage me. At least it's not as bad as it used to be when over half the population smoked, but why do the vast majority of smokers think it is acceptable to litter their cigarette butts all over the place? It's just as bad outside my office building, seeing a bunch of butts outside the back door to our office building, and there is a perfectly working cigarette disposer 50 feet away.
Fcking dadholes.

Was coming home from the grocery store on Sunday and was approaching an intersection where I had the green light. I saw a dude coming from my right and he wasn't slowing down at all, so I took my foot off the gas. I got my kid in the backseat, don't need to get t-boned. Sure enough, he doesn't even look and just makes the right. I slam on the brakes and the horn and to my surprise: no reaction. Not a wave, not a flip of the bird, not even a glance in my direction. Was very odd.
Pulled past him at the next light and it was a super old dude just out for a Sunday drive. Guy is going to kill someone.

I'm a firm believer that you should be required to take a driver's exam every 3-5 years once you reach a certain age.

Agreed... people are too weak to take their parent's keys away from them.

I'm 100% positive that my parents will sell their cars and force one of the kids to drive them wherever they need to go when the time comes for payback for having to lug us around everywhere.

I’ve told this before, but I got hit head on (50mph) by a 76-year old going the wrong way on a divided highway.
He died instantly without a seatbelt or airbag.
Yes, there should be tests but there never will be.

There won't be tests because seniors are the largest voting block, and any attempt to institute that sort of law is political suicide.
You know what really grinds my gears...
Set that requirement at 16 and remove any hint of ageism.I'm a firm believer that you should be required to take a driver's exam every 3-5 years once you reach a certain age.

Just like there is a minimum age to drive, there should be a maximum age.
Voting even more so.

People that leave me 6 minute long voicemails and don't give me their callback number until the very end of the message. WTH lady? Save your ramblings for someone who cares.

Or when they do give their number it is said in a speed too fast to catch it so you have to rewind the message. The worst is when you only have an option to rewind to the beginning

I’m sure I’ve ***** about this before, but “convenience fees” for event tickets. I just bought tickets to Whose Live Anyway, and both $49 tickets come with $13 in convenience fees. ****, you should be paying ME that fee since I’m saving you money.
You know what really grinds my gears...
I would vote for someone for president if they ran on the single issue of eliminating convenience fees.

Families who bring babies... especially multiple crying babies on a 7 hour plane flight. GTFO with that crap.

I am weirdly invested in A Very Brady Renovation on HGTV. It sort of bothers me that I'm so delighted by this show.
Also, Susan Olsen (Cindy) was our cat's first foster mom; bottle fed her and named her. So I'm like one degree of Kevin Bacon removed.
