Part III is definitely the Fredo of the Godfather trilogy.

It is, but I personally don’t think it’s nearly as bad as some make it out to be. The other two were just so incredible that the third was glaringly bad.

I know this has been mentioned in here before, but colleagues who blind-side you with an email about something that falls under your team's purview, and then needlessly CC like three levels above you in the chain of command. Especially when said person has no grasp of what we do on a day-to-day, and we actually have the issue under control.

She's on my team, FFS. I would personally never dream of emailing her about an HR-related matter and CC the president of the company asking her to "make sure this gets taken care of". She could have just as easily walked the 30 feet to my office and asked about it, instead of CC'ing the entire leadership team. **** off, two-faced ladder climber.

That warrants a direct and uncomfortable phone call.

Godfather 3 is just boring/bad. I tried rewatching it at one point to see if it was really that bad and I got so bored by the first scene that I turned it off and never went back.

Someone bought .46mm guitar picks for a study. This made me seriously question that person's judgment, because I've held business cards that are less flimsy than .46mm guitar picks.

I hope they got their order and were severely disappointed. They deserve it.

I mean, I could see them being useful for strumming an acoustic, but that's about it. Real men use Tortex greens.

1 or 1.1 mm Tortex.

If you're one of those Yngwie Malmsteen chowderjunks who has to play a million miles an hour for it to mean anything, flimsy picks are great. They also break in half after maybe six hours of use.

If you're one of the Malmsteen guys, your pick hand is doing 1/10th the work as your other hand...

Godfather III is effing terrible. Sofia Coppola's acting alone makes it an embarrassment. I watched it once - never again.

My credit union had a great CD rate, and I wanted to move some money into one. You have to either go to a branch in person, or open the account over the phone; can't do the promo CDs online. So, I call the call center at 8am (can't call the branches directly), and am told somebody will call me back. Crickets. I call back just now, and am told that the promo CD ended at 11am. Thanks, you dadholes.

Edit: It pays to complain. A manager called me back later that afternoon and allowed me to open the CD.

My wife needs blood work done to renew her inhaler prescription, so we decided to stop on the way home. That was nearly an hour and a half ago, and she is finally sitting in a blood draw chair. The place closed 22 minutes ago, but I guess these knuckle-draggers enjoy spending more time on the weekend at work.

Always make an appt for that stuff ...usually in and out in minutes while everyone else sits and waits.

Lancaster Health opened up a really, really nice health center about 10 minutes from our house. Generally quick urgent care (you can make appointments), labs, etc. I'm grateful it is there, it makes everything so much easier.

Her physician’s office only uses this external lab for blood work, which makes no damn sense to me. I’ve never gone to a physician that outsourced that work (the drawing of the blood). She would have made an appointment, but the woman she spoke with at the place said to just come in whenever and that no appointment was necessary. Basically made it sound like they didn’t take appointments.

My GP just got rid of their clinic and outsource everything to Quest now. Luckily they opened on about a half mile from my house.

That seems to be the trend, with Quest and LabCorp locations popping up all over the place. The location that my wife chose has poor reviews, so I'm sure she'll check first in the future.

Dear lady who was in line in front of me at McDonald's yesterday:

F--K YOU

Do not use the lunch crush to ask questions of the cashier guy about every single item on the goddamn menu. Do not take up more time opining about the prices of said items - a Filet-O-Fish costs $x; that's the price, it is non-negotiable. But, if you remain undeterred in your quest to learn everything about McDonald's menu, it would be helpful if you at least took the time to first learn that it is called a 'hamburger' not the 'meat bread thing', and that the double is called a 'Big Mac' and the single is called a 'Quarter Pounder' -- I'm presuming you are illiterate, since the names are printed in great big f--k off letters two feet above your fat head, and not knowing them in that scenario would otherwise be inexcusable. Also, pointing to the picture of the coffee drinks and saying "I want that one" is not acceptable past the age of f--king three.
