The music industry is very funny. They generally do not want to make super high-quality copies of their music available in widely distributable (e.g. digital) form. That has led to non-audio-only platforms following suit (at any given time the number of video games on Steam that have other than mp3 audio files can usually be counted on one hand), and some audio formats on home video releases are even worse than mp3 (Dolby Digital's AC3 codec was particularly craptastic).

Inquired about a timeshare unit to rent, even got as far as getting the contract. The owner e-mailed me a few hours later stating that one of their friends wanted the unit, so they were pulling it back. Even if true, that's **** up.

I set an alarm for work this morning. I have the notification that pops up half an hour early that says "Do you want to turn off your alarm", but it was untouched (obviously).
I woke up at 7:11. My alarm for 6:35 never went off. Not happy about needing to scramble first thing in the morning.

I struggle to get out of bed with all the meds I'm on so I have an old style alarm clock and a phone alarm. I want to crush both as they go off...

I love sports betting but oh my god am I sick of seeing ads for it in every aspect of a sports broadcast. it's like a type of caulk that they have to fill every nook and cranny with these motherf*cking promos

We were using an Australian stream for NFL games during the season. They have an ingrained gambling culture down under, because the commercials used lots of gambling lingo and slang that was pretty hardcore (I don't gamble, so I don't remember specifics). But it was every commercial just about, plus the PSA about getting help when you are in too deep etc. Crazy mate.

I feel like I’m demonstrably more prone to hangovers since I’ve turned 30 last year and I don’t like it

Can confirm. I basically had to give up rum around that age. Switched to bourbon and the hangovers have been a lot less intense. Probably the lower sugar content.

GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!
do bar trivia and none of my friends could come today so I was solo which I’m fine with because I know my ****. I end up tied in first place going into the last question which is impressive (most teams have at least four people)
final question was put the wrestlers in order by age, oldest to youngest: The Rock, Flair, Hogan, Cena
You can bet anywhere between 1-20 points for the final but they’re usually pretty hard. I would say on average only 1-2 teams get it any trivia night. I felt like I knew the answer immediately but wasn’t confident because I felt like there was something tricky about it. Maybe Hogan was sneakily older than Flair or something with Cena and Rock. So I bet 1
nope. The answer was obvious and every team but me gets it right. F*CKKKKKK

God made earbuds so the whole boarding area doesn’t have to listen to your conference call on speakerphone.
Also if I find out one of my employees does this for business calls, we’re having a conversation. Even if it seems innocuous some sensitive corporate info could be discussed and you don’t know who’s around.

We only really "drank" one night in Ireland, and that was when we were in Dublin. I think I had four or five pints...and remember, these are all 4-4.5% beers. I woke up in the middle of the night dehydrated, slept like five hours, and was dragging ass all day the next day. Ridiculous.I feel like I’m demonstrably more prone to hangovers since I’ve turned 30 last year and I don’t like it

Spotify has made some questionable decisions with their app lately. At some point they introduced a beta group queue feature which is really cool. And then they replaced it with a much less useful “remote group session” where everyone who’s in the group’s device plays music whether they want to or not
now they’ve switched the locations of the “options” and “current device” buttons when playing music (the current device button is on the top right now which is incredibly annoying to get to)

Today and tomorrow will be 86 and 88 degrees. Our AC unit just **** itself.
Great.
Great.

Didn't that happen at your last place too?

At the Mt Washington place, the landlord went to change a filter and forgot to turn it back on.
Morningside place had no AC.
This one crapped the bed.

The tips of my finger/tops of my fingernails are super sensitive for some reason. If I just lightly tap the top of my fingernail against something or hit it against something... some of the worst pain in the world for me and I have no idea why.
I'd rather have my whole finger smashed then hit the top/tip of my fingernail against something.

People that go uh-huh while someone is in the process of answering a question they asked, especially if it is every 5 seconds.

What's your go-to Hippeas flavor? My girl introduced me to them and now I buy a box (of 6 bags) of them like once a month at this point haha
I do believe (but am unwilling to fact check) that Veggie Straws got pee pee whacked in court over their packaging or claims regarding their alleged healthfulness...

Nacho Cheese has been my top one with White Cheddar second. I had a BBQ phase and I’ll still get them but they’re not as consistently good as the others

I haven't had Nacho yet...White Cheddar is probably my top and then the siracha (or whatever the hot one is). I just had the BBQ ones and they're fine, but I feel like they make my teeth feel gross...

I would think the more important thing in regards to a potato straw is that it's not plastic... And a potato straw is still better to eat than a plastic one

I'm interested in trying these out, are they cheaper in store or online? What's your go-to Hippeas flavor? My girl introduced me to them and now I buy a box (of 6 bags) of them like once a month at this point haha
