Auburn literally can't move the ball so that should do it.

I don't follow college football and this is the first that I've seen of the overtime system. It's shoot out level dumb for deciding the winner.

This is exactly what I said during the PSU/Illinois 9OT game

I get not wanting to do possessions from the 25 forever. But maybe just one set of downs from the 10? It's still better than NFL but it sucks after 2 OT

Why not just keep playing with each team getting at least one possession?

Also as dumb as putting the guy on second in extra innings.

After 3 OTs they should switch to two hand tap/all time quarterback rules.

After 2 OT expand the field to CFL size and allow teams to win on a rouge.

Oh, god forbid OU loses mighty Kansas as their conference opponent! :D

[I am actually pretty thrilled about those 2 schools moving to the SEC - and not that just because it cements the SEC's undisputed No.1 ranking. More importantly, the move will increase the number of in-conference games to at least 9 (if they go with four 4-team "pods") or even 10 (if they go with two 8-team divisions).]

Hate that they are gutting the conference. The landscape is going to be unrecognizable in twenty years.

Just as egregious for Auburn was lining up in shotgun on 3rd and 2 at the Alabama 35. To me that was 4 down territory. Bama burns their last timeout and you have two shots at a first down to seal the game.

Instead, they lose 3 yards and punt it away

Saw this on Reddit. The most recent first time champ in each sport:
• College bball: Baylor, 8 months ago

• NBA: Raptors, 2 years ago

• MLB: Nationals, 2 years ago

• NHL: Blues, 2 years ago

• NFL: Eagles, 3 years ago

• CFB: Florida, 25 years ago
Been a pretty entertaining last few years.

Assuming Georgia doesn't choke in their usual fashion next week, these are the years for the last National Championship for each of the teams in play.
Georgia - 1980
Michigan - 1997
Cincinnati - Has never won
Notre Dame - 1988
Oklahoma State - 1945
College football needed this year. Really hoping Georgia takes care of business.

Pretty incredible given that there are 32 teams in each pro league and 100+ in CFB.

ND lowest rated of the 1 loss teams, will they finally pay for not being in a conference? They played nobody but Cincinnati and a 4 loss Wisconsin team that is somehow still ranked despite losses to PSU and Minnesota.

I think they're out unless something crazy happens. OK State is poised to jump them as well
