Perhaps him being cut was him learning his lesson, and WFT was a bad situation for him to start with? By all accounts, he needed some on-field grooming even coming out of OSU.

I don't hate it. He was a first rounder two years ago and there's really no risk here. Why not

He shouldn't have been a first rounder, though. That was the WFT mistake.

I'd take him as a backup-to-post-Ben-starter but not as a franchise QB replacement. He should replace Dobbs and leapfrog numbnuts up there. And if the year takes a **** the way it should given the Steelers posture and schedule, Haskins should be taking snaps in November.

Outside of the money they paid, the Steelers didn't have to give up assets to give Haskins a look like they would have for Darnold *shrug*

It wasn't just the strippers with Haskins. That was just the final straw. There were all kinds of work ethic issues, lack of preparation, etc, and Rivera actually wanted to cut him the week before the stripper thing but held off for fear of a locker room revolt for doing it while the division was still up for grabs.

He got sacked because he was terrible at being an NFL quarterback. Signing him is a poor move imo, especially given what next year represents for the franchise.
