Vance was drafted by the 49ers and I remember him being so damn inconsistent with them. He was a world-beater one week, then dropped easy passes multiple games in a row. Which is why I think they traded him or released him or whatever.

IIRC, this was the last play that dude ever played in the NFL. Stiff armed his ass right out of the league

I know he dealt with a lot of concussion and general injury issues, but that’s still kind of surprising. Only 30 with another year left on his deal and could easily find work if the Steelers dumped him. Take that $28MM and enjoy life I guess.

Totally forgot about him. Seemed to be heading towards a breakout with back to back 50 catch seasons. Then you know weed and archaic policies. Went to the Raiders, was meh, got injured, and indefinitely suspended due to violating his reinstatement conditions. Way to really flush your chance at life changing money for 10 years over some wacky tobacky.
