Browns at Steelers- GDT - Wild Card Weekend

Postby MrKennethTKangaroo » Mon Jan 11, 2021 3:38 pm

A few times Collinsworth pointed out that Mayfield was getting the ball out of his hands quickly and to guys that weren't all that far downfield. As we stiller fans know after watching the big ben offense all year, that leads to a minimal amount of QB pressure. It also doesn't help that the browns had plenty of guys running around wide open because our LBs were slow. So that is a long way of saying I don't blame the pass rush too much.

I also give no credit to the WR's having a good night. Once the browns were up 28-0, the browns D made the decision to give up exactly what ben wanted, which resulted in a lot of yards but not a lot of splash plays.

I think juju got taken out of context a bit, not that he's totally innocent. But this is just so dumb

Wish he would have retired before that **** errant snap. For those keeping track at home, that would be $6.475MM in dead money and $8MM in cap savings. Only $13.8MM to go until they can actually sign someone.

He's not wrong about any of it...

And is he hateable? Other than being Juju Jr. on social media...?

Madden hates him now too. So we will hear that for a couple years at least

It’s just a dumb thing to say after you just got your ass handed to you.

He comes across as smug when's he's had one half of a good season as a rookie. Let's see him do it over a few years. He hasn't earned the right to be a diva WR yet.

It's hard to win in the playoffs. No one besides Belichick really has a *good* record. I was surprised to see Ben was 13-8 in the postseason before yesterday and was really the most successful postseason guy outside of brady (30-11 like zoinks scoob). Rodgers was 10-8 and Brees was 8-8
It has a lot to do with the math fact that in a single elimination system, losing records are far more likely than winning records. One half of the starting field ends up with the losing record (first round losers). One quarter ends up with an even record (second round losers). And only one quarter ends up with a winning record (second round winners).

I remember a few years ago when everyone on the team was a turd. Now with Watt, Bush, Vince, Cam, Tuitt, Minkah, Haden, Ben, Conner and some of the line it's really been a likeable team imo. They were kinda hard to root for in 2015-2017ish

I'll agree to an extent.

I lost a bit of respect for Watt last night after he's standing on the sideline while they carve up the defense.

I can't stand Vince and I hate that Conner isnt good enough to make me overlook that he went to Pitt (like I am able to do with Heyward and Bush)

I was surprised that Ben's TD-INT split in the playoffs is 34-28

The players are a lot more likeable than they were 3 or 4 years ago. Really had a hard time liking the Steelers between when Troy retired and this current crop came.

I do believe that AB poisoned Juju and Juju passed that poison onto Claypool. Hopefully it lessens as it loves through the generations

Don't know, don't care.

I am not saying that is a reason to drop him. His play is enough for that. But the reason I won't miss him is the above mentioned behaviour.

Looking at those images of Ben and Pouncey, I am reminded of the depression I felt after Troy and LeBeau ended their careers with a home playoff loss vs BAL. It's always gonna stick in my craw.

Yea not sure how people like Ben. He’s way better than what he was about a decade ago...still not that awesome of a guy though
