I’ll be spending the majority of it cooking and watching Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Dutch.

Start the day with a tee time on the same course that 12 years ago on Thanksgiving, I shot my best-ever score. See if lightning strikes twice. Then hopefully be off the course soon enough to catch the 2nd half of Gonzaga-Kansas. Oh yeah, then there will be that food stuff too.

Haikado milk rolls are on the counter cooling, the sourdough crackers are cooling as well. Cranberry sauce, deviled eggs, and spinach dip are all made and ready to rock. Same with mini pecan and pumpkin pies.

The rest of the cooking will commence around noon. Drinking starts then too. I love thanksgiving.

We're doing a Lord of the Rings marathon since there is no parade.

House smells fantastic and I've already gotten in trouble for eating things I wasn't supposed to, so a normal day. ;)

Y'all enjoy.

Happy Thanksgiving! Will be smoke/frying a turkey later today. I've fried one before, but never smoked it beforehand. Hopefully it turns out.

I don’t understand what a virtual race is... apparently there’s one in our neighborhood as well.

it just means that you run/walk that distance anywhere you want. you can run it in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, on a trail, wherever. the Peachtree Road Race is usually held on July 4th but COVID prevented that this year so the Atlanta Track Club decided to hold it virtually Thanksgiving weekend. unless you're an elite runner it's all about getting the t-shirt anyway.
we have a nice 5k walking path very close to our neighborhood. 2 laps of that made 10k. I had originally set a goal of 2:15 but didn't think I'd get that with the Plantar Fasciitis I've been battling the last few weeks. I toughed it out and finished in 2:08:36. I'll now be spending the rest of the night on the couch. :)

Got back for last 8 mins of first half. That was a professional effort out of the Zags. 64% from the field is nothing to sneeze at.
