That said, even in states where it is legal, employers can still test you and fire you for a positive test.
Thanks, very helpful.

I’m not concerned about a test, but anything less than legal to buy and use is the only situation that will work for me. Decriminalization doesn’t help.

Michigan voters say 'yes' to marijuana, legalize recreational cannabis
Individuals will now be permitted to possess and use marijuana and marijuana-infused edibles and grow up to 12 marijuana plants for personal consumption. The approved law will impose a 10-ounce limit for marijuana kept at residences and mandate that amounts over 2.5 ounces be secured in locked containers.

Permitted retail sales of marijuana and edibles will be subject to a 10 percent tax, dedicated to implementation costs, clinical trials, schools, roads, and municipalities where marijuana businesses are located. Per state law, ballot initiatives go into effect 10 days after results are certified, which can take up to three weeks from the day of the election. That puts formal legalization on track for December 2018.

Excellent. Will this help anyone retroactively in terms of people serving any sentences/probation for possession convictions? I skimmed the article and it didn't say. Retroactive application isn't automatic and generally has to be written into the statute.

Didn't see anything about sentences. However, from the other ones I've seen it is generally a 5-10 year retroactive period.

No, but:
There is a bill pending in the Legislature to require judges to consider expunging the records of people convicted of many misdemeanor marijuana offenses that will no longer be crimes under the marijuana legalization. But it's uncertain whether that would be taken up in the Republican-controlled Legislature before this legislative session ends in December. The new governor — Democrat Gretchen Whitmer — also could consider pardoning some criminal offenders. She has said she would favor some sort of expungement for low-level marijuana offenses.

Don't expect Wolf to come around any time soon. As recently as August he was pretty firm in that we need to "wait".

Depending on the strain you can get much more than 10oz per 12 plants. BYOW extraction services could become a cottage industry.

New Jersey will do it by the end of the year / early next year. New York and Ohio will most likely do it next year. It's game over at that point.

He clearly hasn't been told how much he could tax it...

Easily could but that clearly isn't personal use at that point.

From the little bit of interaction I've had, indica seems to be the way to go for me. I'm too high-strung for a lot of sativa strains.

I sampled some green crack, which is 100% sativa, and all it gave me was a "light head".

Combine that with a Predator 2 viewing and my posts start making a lot more sense in the movie thread.
