my friend who traveled out to Colorado made it back safely with all cargo in hand. he brought me back 1/4 ounce and 5 pre-rolls. total cost was $75. I really thought it would be more expensive.

nah, it's hella cheap when it's legal. Who knew, more supply would drop the price...

I really just thought that the inevitable taxes would make it cost more than this. basically what he brought back cost me about the same as 25 years ago.....I didn't see the breakdown between product cost and tax but I was expecting about $25 more total cost.

Pennsylvania’s new Lt. Gov. John Fetterman received his first assignment: Take the pulse of Pennsylvanians about where they stand on the issue of legalizing marijuana.
At their first news conference since their Jan. 15 inauguration, Gov. Tom Wolf on Thursday joined with Fetterman in announcing he is sending the lieutenant governor on a 67-county listening tour. Fetterman will gather input on the pros and cons of Pennsylvania allowing adults to use marijuana for recreational purposes.
Fetterman plans to start his tour in mid-February and complete it over a three-month period, working these town hall-style conversations with the public around his other lieutenant governor duties.
https://www.pennlive.com/news/2019/01/l ... g-pot.htmlFetterman said in addition to his town hall meetings, he will be establishing a webpage to accept online comments about legalizing recreational marijuana.
“We want to make sure everyone feels heard and invested in this process,” Fetterman said.

Waste of time/money there. Spending 3 montns desperately trying to find some good reason not to legalize it. Spoiler; they won't find one.

Results: the old and/or uninformed hate it and the young and/or informed think it’s a good idea.
I just saved the state a ton of money. What do I win?

I really don't think Fetterman will be looking for negative comments. The fact that he's in charge of this and wants it done in 3 months makes me think they're looking to push this through ASAP and just want cover. "We asked the people and they responded overwhelmingly..."Waste of time/money there. Spending 3 montns desperately trying to find some good reason not to legalize it. Spoiler; they won't find one.

In reading the copy it said it was assigned to him so I'm looking at Wolf's motivations. This just seems like a really silly use of taxpayer money. The only thing I can see coming out of it is "Well, we asked everybody and this is what they said, so you old people have to deal with it." Just sack up and do it.

Wolf's motivation is the tax revenue. He also knows Fetterman's love for it. He certainly wouldn't have assigned it to him if he just wanted to quash it.
Agree 100%This just seems like a really silly use of taxpayer money. The only thing I can see coming out of it is "Well, we asked everybody and this is what they said, so you old people have to deal with it." Just sack up and do it.

Today: Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced her office will no longer prosecute marijuana possession cases, regardless of the amount or the individual’s criminal history.

I have been doing some reading about the history of cannabis in the US. The guy that arguably played the biggest role in getting it banned was Harry J Anslinger, who was the first commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics. He was born and died in Altoona.
