Donald Trump, making his first public remarks in weeks, declined to take reporters’ questions after falsely claiming from the White House briefing room “I won” the general election.

"Big pharma ran millions of dollars of negative advertisements against me during the campaign, which I won, by the way, but you know, we'll find that out. Almost 74m votes," he said during a briefing mostly about new regulations he says will lower prescription drug prices. He is ignoring the fact President-elect Joe Biden received 79.6m votes, according to the Associated Press.

I think this is interesting. Lost in the “all this (gesturing broadly)”, is that the insinuation that the dems didn’t accept Trump as president is like a whiny online troll thing, not based on any practical reality. Yet is accepted as a fact by pretty much any proud owner of libs.

Yeah, this is definitely one of the weird talking points I don’t get. I guess because of the impeachment stuff?

Trump's concession isn't necessary if our democracy is still intact. Jan 20th will be when I start worrying about it. Right now it just looks like the T1000 flailing in the molten steel.
This. Everything else is just noise. Push comes to shove, Trump doesn't even have the support of the Republican party or most of his voters (at least the ones I know).

I hope you’re right, and I think you’re right. However, that’s far from certain, and it shouldn’t even need to be a talking point.

My wife is prone to getting all jazzed up by her limousine liberal New England family. She did not appreciate my pragmatic response to the consequence of rbg dyin, when their fam text chain was going off the rails with end of the world chatter.

I appreciate everything that RBG accomplished and stood for... but she should have stepped down early in Obama’s presidency to allow someone that held her values take her place. It’s sort of shitty to say but it’s also true
