I've never had a case in front of him myself, but I know colleagues who have been in front of Judge Brann multiple times, and in their opinion Brann is a grade-A dooshnozzle. I personally am running any statements of his through that filter.

That doesn't, of course, mean that Trump has any case.

In the next couple of days, Betfair will get over $1 BILLION contracts traded on the US President winner (currently at $960+ mil). In 2016, after more than doubling the 2012 numbers, the US President market was worth about $300 million, if I remember well, by the time of results certification. This yaer, by the end of election night, they were already around $800 mil.

There are more than $3 million offers sitting on each side of Joe Biden winner (1.05 = 95.2% for ; 1.06 = 94.3% against) right now.

I noticed there has been quite an increase in trading over the last few days, even though Biden moved from ~1.1 to ~1.05. I am no big betting expert, but I can imagine that some people can simply be closing their positions.

(Say, you bought "for Biden" at 1.5 . Rather than waiting (and risking him not becoming the President), you can go "against Biden" at 1.06, collect the money, and pay the loses (1.06 if Biden wins) from your 1.5 Biden gains. You would not get the full 50% profits you are entitled to if Biden wins, but close. And, if for whatever reason Biden does not become the President, you keep all the money from going "against Biden".)

That is immensely depressing.

That’s my issue. I’ve never had a reason to question the integrity of our voting system beyond some software vulnerabilities and human error on a very small scale. I still don’t question it but there are 70 million people who probably do. Further the President is being allowed to push this non-sense without any repercussions (aside from losing).

I really think this is the start of the fall of both parties. The GOP has turned hard into the nutjob pandering and the Dems couldn’t even swing the senate and lost seats in the house.
