Stillers 2020 Regular Season
It's only until Saturday. Titans just game plan remotely, trust their million dollar players to train, and show up Sunday and try to execute?
Couldn't they also just shift the game to Heinz? If your area sucks at COVID, tough titty. It's better than a forfeit. And the home field advantage is certainly diminished.

I don't see anything about cancelling or postponing. I am guessing that the Titans have to field a team with enough players from their expanded roster.

Apparently Vikings (Titans last opponent) players and personnel are being told to stay away from team facilities as well.

somewhat related, but ND cancelled their game on Saturday after someone tested positive early last week a day or two after they played USF. Have there been any news of positive tests for the USF Bulls

USF has postponed their game against FAU this weekend but I have not seen any positives tests announced by them yet.

This is a directional florida school we are talking about, so who knows if that means a. there are no positive tests b. they haven't bothered to test anyone or c. players tested positive but USF hasn't disclosed it.

My guess is their entire roster has it and they gave it to
Notre Dame.

Not that I'd wish covid on anyone but if Derrick Henry and Tannehill get it I wouldn't be totally bummed

My understanding is that everyone - players, coaches, staff, everyone who shares an interior space - is tested every day, and they're the speedy tests that give results in like 15 minutes. So basically, the entire team and staff has to be tested every day, and any positive test requires that person to isolate and miss the game, no?
And if that's not the case, this whole endeavor has been lunacy from the off.
It seems that all 8 Titans' players/staff were re-tested and all 8 came back COVID+ upon re-testing, and they've contact traced roughly 50 people who came in close contact with those people who are now 'at risk'.

Doubtful. You had outbreaks in MLB and they kept going.Ugh...I hope this isn't the beginning of the end for the season.

Or it could be like the Charlotte 49ers who had to cancel their game with Georgia State after positive tests...
That was later discovered to be "read wrong" and in fact there were no positives...

The difference is scheduling flexibility. MLB can pack doubleheaders. NFL cannot.Doubtful. You had outbreaks in MLB and they kept going.Ugh...I hope this isn't the beginning of the end for the season.

Higher level of granularity, too. MLB can literally just not play games and it doesn't matter. Each NFL game is 6.25% of the season. The difference is scheduling flexibility. Since I need to clarify, I wasn't saying the Titans things were false. I wouldn't expect the NFL to be unable to read test results. That post was tied into the little CFB discussion above.Or it could be like the Charlotte 49ers who had to cancel their game with Georgia State after positive tests...
