9/11 Anniversary

I think I might be one of the younger people on this board that remembers vividly what happened on 9/11. I was 10 years old... Its crazy to me that people younger don't know the fear and uncertainty that day.

I was in 4th grade (almost 10). They didn't tell us anything, just that a bunch of after-school stuff was cancelled. I found out when my mom picked me up at the bus stop.
None of us were allowed leave - parents came to pick people up but it wasn't allowed. I was in 5th grade and they thought us old enough to know. We saw teachers rushing around and crying, so it was good they tried to help us understand, but obviously they didn't show us the news, just talked to us. They helped me through the panic that my mom in a skyscraper in downtown pittsburgh was probably fine.

Has anyone ever seen the musical "Come from Away". It chronicles the story of the thousands of people directed to a small canadian town on 9/11. It's supposed to be amazing. The sound track is good, but I've never seen it.

I'm assuming you are talking about the 38 airliners that were diverted to Gander Airport in Newfoundland and Labrador. That is one of my favorite stories of 9/11. Operation Yellow Ribbon. I'll have to check that out.

They stopped 91,100, and 911,000,000 in the movies, so its uplifting in the end.

The concept and execution of that movie is so over the top, I can’t help but laugh at it.

The pitch meeting had to be amazing.

The best joke in the movie is that all of the foliage in 'Panama' are marijuana plants.
