My wife is trying to wean herself from the Keurig and use our pour over system. What are some good light roast beans? I only drink dark roasts so I'm not much help.

My go-to (dark, but smooth as hell):

Also terrific:

La Prima and Allegheny Coffee are the 2 I am most likely to end up stopping at.

Any of you knuckleheads ever go to De Fer coffee on smallman? my gf got a coffee passport (spend $20, get a free drink of some sort at various places around tahn), and De Fer is on there. Not exactly an easy location to pop in and out of on a weekend tho.

De Fer is okay. Its not my highest rated one. Also, Smallman is getting way more easily accessible after all the construction

Got a box of Nespresso pods yesterday that I didn't order. I had just placed and received an order last week, so my first inclination was, oops, I must have chosen recurring. so to avoid seeing my error, I didn't initially open the box. So this morning I go ahead and open it up to put the pods away, and realize this was nespresso putting the wrong shipping label on the box, first inclination is to stash the pods, throw away the receipt (evidence).

I alert my wife to the circumstance, she says "call Nespresso", I demur at first, then agree, realize it's probably right to do a good thing. So I call the company, and the woman is just like "merry christmas", and the kicker, she didn't even want me to give her the correct order info, I'm like "don't you want to get that info to correct it?" and she just goes "no, they'll call and let us know".

The order was to some woman in Brooklyn, and 2 of the sleeves are hot chocolate, something I would never think to order from Nespresso, so thinking this might be some extremely dope hot chocolate.

Somewhere in brooklyn, there is a Karen rolling up her sleeves and preparing to rip into Nestle on her local, dying internet forum discussing some hobby.

Most definitely. That appears to be a Nespresso Aeroccino3 milk frother, which is capable of making hot milk foam, hot milk, or cold froth to help you prepare your favorite coffee beverage recipes at home in a simple way.

that is correct. we bought the Nespresso Vertuo w/ frother last year at the start of lockdown. it's been worth every penny.
last month I started using the frother to warm milk for hot chocolate and adding butterscotch liquor just before serving. :fist:

You can heat milk for hot chocolate with one of those, right? Or is it always frothy? I hate heating milk on the stove for hot cocoa, so I usually use water. But if that contraption works...
