Canada is to Merica as Target is to wal mart

everyone likes target. Target is nice and fun to go to. But everyone gives target far less of a hard time than wal mart even though they mostly share the same business practices.

Yeah, but they have poutine and maple syrup and hockey... what more do you want?

Poutine is just fries with cheese and gravy right? That's what I was thinking. That would have been a good lunch.

Kathleen Madigan has a great bit about Canada.

It's like America's attic. You sort of forget about it, and then you go up there after a while and you're like "Wow, there's some cool s**t up here. I totally forgot about this."

One of my friends went to undergrad in upstate NY. As part of the rush ritual in his fraternity, they would hire a party bus and go to the North and do a strip club crawl. New pledges were only allowed to pay/tip using loonies, which was always very well received by the entertainers.
