I'm hopeful Abracadabra breaks out a bit this year. Really bummed about Newton, he looked like he might be a good one

I do too. There have been 2 or 3 times I've had a Pitt post ready to go to only realize I'm in the Bucco thread.

Pitt Pro Day:
Twyman put up 40 reps (225 lbs) on the bench press. For some context, AD put up 35 at the 2014 Combine.

40 times weren’t great for Jones or Weaver either. Only Hamlin seems to have helped himself with his run time. Maybe the practice facility surface sucks.

So in summary of my continued haphazard tweet postings...

Pinnock seems to have helped himself considerably. Hamlin helped more than hurt. Never thought Morrissey was strong enough to be a starter at the next level. Weaver was fine if unimpressive. Jones got injured, which sucks. Twyman showed off strength and power, but limited agility and quickness. His 40 time is butt but I don't think that should negatively impact him too much; just not sure he helped himself at all considering he skipped the season. Turner had a good showing and his bench numbers would have topped the WRs at the combine last year. Ford definitely did the most damage to his draft position.

That is interesting to see Hamlin do well on the 40. he always seemed slow

There is no way Paris Ford ran a 4.9 in the 40.

Changed my mind on Twyman. He’s probably **** too as apparently he can barely move laterally as well.

I can't even imagine an out of shape Paris Ford running that slow.

Not sure how this will change Ford's draftability, but if he goes undrafted, his career will go down as one of the weirdest in Pitt history. He changed high schools a bajillion times; chose to go to Pitt over other, much better programs; didn't see the field at all for two years; played somewhere between good and gr8 for one season (when he wasn't getting kicked out of games); played a part of another season inconsistently; then quit when the going got tough. He could have been one of Pitt's best WPIAL players in the 2000s but instead he leaves us all standing around and wondering what the hell is going on out there.

Exhibit A on why pro days and the combine are dumb. Let's forget the years of tape on these guys playing actual football and slide them up or down a few rounds based on a single workout. K.
