Watched the 2016 Clemson game last night. I was at that game, so I had a totally different perspective and didn't realize how close some things were. Also misremembered a few things. I think this is the first time I actually sat and watched the game on TV.

1) We had some very fortunate penalty calls which weren't really penalties. Nice to have it go Pitt's way for once
2) At the end of the 4th quarter Clemson was at our 40 with a 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1. Stuffed them both times. It was hard to see from the stands how close they were.
3) Narduzzi didn't call a time out and let the clock go down to like a 1:10 before the 3rd and 1 play, keeping a time out for offense. I didn't remember how little time we had to get in FG range.

That was one of the best games I remember being at, just atmosphere and everything. Crazy. Clemson was one of my favortie places.

That 3rd and 1/4th and 1 stop was so great. Thought for sure it was all over at 3rd and 1. My dad was recovering from a surgery and we were unable to go.. Was looking forward to that one since the day we joined the ACC. One more week and he would have been good enough, such unfortunate timing. But watching it on tv was still one of my favorite Pitt games ever

I'm starting to get the feeling Jeffries is going to pick anywhere but Pitt after Pitt has been the favorite for so long.
He's committing on Tuesday. The pantherlair guys think we are going to get him. Another poster who has had accurate info before said he is coming to Pitt as well. Take it FWIW. I will keep my fingers crossed!

Fourth commitment from the DelMarVa regions and three of them - Alston, Stephenson, and Hammond - have some pretty nice collections of offers among them. I'm assuming a lot of this is Beatty's work.

I really want to see Jeffress commit to Pitt for a number of reasons directly related to the success of Pitt basketball. That said, I'm also rooting harder for this one because it's cool seeing a talented player like that coming from my hometown. Erie McDowell's main rival (Cathedral Prep) is my alma mater, but McDowell is pretty much in the backyard of the neighborhoods that I and my family grew up in. My cousins and sister are Erie McDowell grads and some of my best memories as a kid were going to McDowell football games in the late 1980s.

Everything I've read so far seems to suggest that he's going to pick Pitt, so here's hoping.

College football season being canceled this year would be the most Pitt thing that could happen to a strong recruiting class.
