LB coach Rob Harley is leaving Pitt to take an unannounced job at Arkansas State. Guessing this is a move up to a DC or something along those lines.

There's also some talk that this may have been done to help give the Recruiting Coordinator (and accompanying raise) to Beatty to make sure he sticks around.

He seemed like a good recruiter but the LBs of the Narduzzi era have never been particularly good, so this is a big shrug I guess.

Harley to Arkansas State is official. Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach. Pitt also got two more commits today. One is apparently a transfer and the other a flip from Auburn, but I haven’t seen names.

Northwestern has beaten OSU, MSU and won @ Indiana. They're 3-0 in the B1G and probably ranked next week. That's looking like a good win

Based on what Peak posted on PL, it sounds like the Super Panthers have the inside track to land MJ Devonshire as a transfer. He's expected to make his decision this week and appears to be down to Pitt & UPS, with WVU in the mix.

UPS is after him but he apparently got some mixed messages about where he would fit. They also just took a transfer DB from South Carolina, so that may muddy the waters for him a little more there.

Pitt wants him because let's face it, if Narduzzi could field a roster comprised entirely of DEs and DBs, he'd have exactly that. In all seriousness, Devonshire's a terrific athlete, he can probably play corner or safety, and he's still young enough to realize his potential.

At first glance, I'd say Pitt probably doesn't NEED him given the existing roster depth. That said, their scheme makes such wide use of DBs and they love rotating DBs, so it never hurts to have too many. It's a nicer problem to have.

Nice to get Devonshire. I always tend to be wary of local kids transferring from P5 schools to Pitt because a lot of them don't really work out (anyone remember Cullen Christian?), but I think local kids on the team make it more interesting for the fans and hopefully he can contribute. Or at the very least he will join a long list of talented pitt defensive backs that get burnt because of narduzzis poorly crafted schemes.
