We didn't have Tecmo Bowl but we did have NES Play Action Football with the diagonal top-down view of the field.

Couldn't you plug in the adapter and go 4 people in this one?

Tecmo Bowl was a big oversight

Let’s be clear. Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl are two totally different games

We didn’t have Tecmo Super Bowl growing up. We had Tecmo Bowl. We got the “you already have a football game” speech when we wanted to bought for us. Damn it, mom, Tecmo Bowl doesn’t have all the teams!

We used to have day long 28 team Tecmo Super Bowl double elimination Tourneys with about 12 guys.

We may or may not have been in our 20s for most of those tourneys.

NHL 95 - So many hours playing this game. Everyone on the penguins had insane stats over the season... especially myself who was Mario's best rookie winger. Most players on the team broke Gretzky's single season records over the season.

Honorable mentions - Battletoads, Chrono Trigger, all the Zelda's, double dragon.

Everyone says they're the best at that game, we all know that. I came across one of those people my freshman year of college...the challenge: he gets to pick my team (he chose Indianapolis as I recall) and I had to run through the league and use Indianapolis to beat all the other teams that he controlled. I think I lost two times (Buffalo once and San Francisco once, but I took care of business pretty handily if I do say so myself)...
