Doing a quarantine vacation on a lake in New England (family house, no one living here right now).Brought all our own groceries, not going out or anything, following guidelines, but god is it nice to leave my apartment and not wear a mask the instant I step outside of my door. I really love living in a city, but this is a much needed breather.

Quarantine is apparently over in my neighborhood. Two parties going on with 6+ people at each given the amount of cars on the street.

Multiple gatherings near me too. Covid is cancelled.

I noticed a massive drop in the number of folks wearing masks at the store this weekend. There were some, but far from the majority it was last week.

Bound to happen with the nice weather and restrictions being lifted. If the gathering is outside and people are maintaining social distancing, I don't see a big problem.

This, however, is a huge problem, and something I've had to deal with personally. If anything it's worse than what the headline says.

For low ratings?

Probably, and when there aren’t massive outbreaks, people will get more comfortable and become less disciplined. It would probably be fine here if there was concrete contract tracing. So few people have been exposed yet in Pittsburgh that it could easily get bad if we are wreckless.

Mom of a friend of our daughter’s- who is an ICU nurse- has been going to visit her newborn niece on a regular basis. She’s a health care professional and I’m not, it’s not supposed to affect kids much and blah blah blah..... but I think that’s idiocy.

My wife works with the elderly. We’re not doing ****.

And if there's a surge in the fall good luck telling these lunatics to stay home again.

I wonder how often the stats work out like this?

Almost always.

BTW guidelines for the yellow phase in PA are 25 people or less so theres no issue with the local get togethers in your neighborhoods.

We went to my sisters today and hung by the pool with a small group.

The dipshits next to me have not been social distancing this entire time, and I assume the same applies to their guests. We’re still in red over here, but whatever. Stupid’s gonna stupid.

I would agree with Colby, in most cases. There is a nursing home three miles from me in a small town near here. I was surprised when I saw the stats for that very small town indicate 34 infections and 11 deaths, until I realized they were all at the SNF.

Well, considering that it is highly more likely to be fatal to elderly people, I don’t see the point. Absent of course Cuomo sending all those patients to ltfc, any outbreak at a nursing home would indicate community spread. It has to get there in the first place.

No point other than small county anomalies can be explained by an outbreak at one facility. I.e. Beaver county.

The only reason to stay home again is if hospitals start getting tested again.

Yeah, the outbreaks in rural areas all tend to be tied to one place. But isn’t that kind of the nature of a communicable disease? But I’m guessing this is just to contradict some media narrative? I have not seen anything about the Virginia outbreak, I assumed the Md and Va cases are around dc

The Centre county commissioners that asked Governor Wolf to not announce Centre County go green went around, consulted with the correct people in the county and decided that going green was for the best.

I know some here had some rustled jimmies when they found out the governor wanted Centre county green and these guys stepped in, but it seems like the appropriate action to take. Make sure we’re ready before we move forward.

After today's coastal drive, I would like to require everyone to pass a practical driving test as a condition precedent to their county reopening. Buncha chowder-headed nincompoops out and about.

Guy flipped a U in front of me from the right lane. 1 car length gap.

Guy shot from northbound traffic across southbound traffic (our direction) to park perpendicular to the road with 18" of his car hanging out.

People can't seem to decide if they want to drive 15 mph under the limit or 43 mph over it. But those are apparently the only two options now.

Generalized examples of people having the lane discipline of blind mole cadavers.

I’m guessing you’re experiencing symptoms or have been exposed? Either way, I hope the results are negative and if it isn’t, I hope you’re feeling better soon.
