I got my second shot on Friday. No side effects other than less arm soreness than the first shot and I didn't sleep super well that night...but I don't sleep very well in general, so I can't chalk it up to the vaccine...

Absolutely and I'd do it again. I'm on vacation chugging beers already. I feel bad for my kids who just started back last week (not really, I wanted them to stay home for rest of year) and my wife who loses out on a week of unpaid work. It's just a really weird situation testing positive a 2nd time, but what are you going to do.

Would this have any effect on me getting my 2nd shot next Friday?

Yes. If you positive, the recommendation is 30 days past the last day of symptoms. I’m not sure what it means if you are between first and second doses.

Probably not great bob as they already scheduled me 4 weeks out from first shot.

I can't read that article, but found this in another one:

So they're going to pause J&J temporarily to investigate. Doing their due diligence, which is good. Hopefully they find nothing and resume.

It's asinine and will only increase vaccine hesitancy.

Birth control is a poor example in this case. You have to be somewhat cautious with a vaccine developed just last year.

I suppose nothing was learned from what happened in Europe with the AZ vaccine, huh? This will set back the vaccine efforts by at least a month. I guess the 20,000 people or so that die in the one month set back due to 6 instances of blood clots over 7 million people inoculated is warranted? gtfo.

The way I understand it, we're talking about a different, more dangerous type of blood clot here. At least that was the case with AZ.
