All I want is vaccinated and warm weather so I can go outside. Is that too much to ask?

Rite Aid did the insurance check as well, which was weird to me because you don’t need insurance to get vaccinated. Is it just a check to see if they’re billing your insurance or the government? I asked the dude checking IDs and insurance what would happen if someone didn’t have insurance and he looked at me like I asked him to add two double digit numbers together. Just completely silent and bewildered.

That’s the first I’ve heard of asking about insurance - even if it has no impact.

I work for an occ health company...I asked our CEO if we're getting vaccines any time soon...he said we ordered them, but wasn't sure...

He said, though, find a location that is dulling out Pfizer shots, go there at the end of the day, and pickup any no-show vaccines that have been defrosted/ing, and just offer to take one before they go bad...

His recommendation was to student rush my way to immunization...

I kind of thought so too...but it's such a silly scenario...the Pens are on tonight, so no chance I'm doing it tonight at least...

How would you know which vaccine a pharmacy is stocked with?

My co-worker's wife is a higher up at an organization that is doing vaccinations. I asked him if they do the whole "stuff is going bad and gotta use it" thing. He said that's a real thing and his wife's group has a waitlist full of people they call for expiring stuff with no shows. I asked how to get on the waitlist and he said just send his wife an e-mail. So I'm now on a list of "hey, we got stuff that's gonna go bad. Come and get it."

I gotta start rubbing some elbows around here then...

Check your local medical clinics that are doing vaccination efforts. They might have something similar.

I just got student rush Pfizer'd basically. Email came to my VP mid afternoon today that they needed to fill some openings this afternoon and I volunteered to accept one.

I still can’t believe that it’s this difficult to get one of the vaccines available right now.
