I would pay $100 for the vaccine right now.
I'll get you Faftorial's dose for $50.
Was it sitting at the bottom of the box?

One thing I've noticed is that my arm is sore (very minor). I can't even remember the last time I had a sore arm after a flu injection.

The Chinese "CoronaVac" vaccine doesn't look to be all that effective:

Disappointing Chinese Vaccine Results Pose Setback for Developing World
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/13/busi ... novac.html
Scientists in Brazil have downgraded the efficacy of a Chinese coronavirus vaccine that they hailed as a major triumph last week, diminishing hopes for a shot that could be quickly produced and easily distributed to help the developing world.

Officials at the Butantan Institute in São Paulo said on Tuesday that a trial conducted in Brazil showed that the CoronaVac vaccine, made by the Beijing-based company Sinovac, had an efficacy rate just over 50 percent. That rate, slightly above the benchmark that the World Health Organization has said would make a vaccine effective for general use, was far below the 78 percent level announced last week.

The implications could be significant for a vaccine that is crucial to China’s global health diplomacy. At least 10 countries have ordered more than 380 million doses of CoronaVac, though regulatory agencies have yet to fully approve it.

Really unfortunate news, if the numbers are accurate.

Just chatted with my mom. 2 of my sisters got the vaccine, my mom and other sister are scheduled for next week, my brother had COVID so he’s likely immune. Only ones left are my dad, my other brother and myself and my whole direct family is “immune”.

He will but he’s a salesman for a media company. He’s not anywhere close to priority. He’ll get it this summer.

Covid currently running through my wife’s family in Mexico. One family member in the hospital and others showing symptoms, all of whom either live with or help take care of my wife’s 85 year old grandmother. Not a good situation.

The annoyance for me is centered on the number of high priority front-line people who are simply opting out altogether. Never saw that coming tbh and it's super maddening.

For months we've heard horror stories about the hellscape these people face every day, how they have to isolate from their families, and then for any significant chunk of them to respond to the opportunity to be vaccinated with 'lol' is just........... ugh.
Is this true? Haven’t really paid attention to anything outside of the Pittsburgh market lately on this and I think it’s been around 75% acceptance for PGH health care systems

Most of the nurses in my wife's company, which provides in-home services to the elderly, are declining it. Some because they are younger and have some concerns over possible fertility effects, which I get, although there's conflicting evidence about it. Others fall in the "lol" tinfoil hat group.

My wife's a Social Worker and will get it first chance she can.

I’m not sure how this whole fertility thing with the covid vax was spread around...but it’s horseshit. Makes zero sense theoretically

Who else here received at least one dose? I'm curious as to which vaccine everyone's getting. I received the Moderna vaccine because I went to one of our satellite hospitals.
