Good for them that economic hardship is micro-targeted to only impact the others.

Ahem, Pretty sure that’s a political discussion.
Welp, two positive cases at my daughter's elementary school. I'm guessing this ends the in person experiment. She's been home anyway, for this exact reason. I knew this was coming.
Two cases would stop it? Our district says 10% staff & students have to actively be absent because of COVID before they’d close a school.

Interesting, I've heard mixed things. It will not stop in-person learning but I'm not sure what the exact cutoff is.

In any event, having our daughter home has been fantastic. The amount of bonding that she has had with our soon to be 1 year old son has been a blessing beyond belief. The quarantine has sucked in many ways but the effect it has had on making her go from being jealous of him to loving and caring for him makes all of this worth it.

Totally awesome.
My kids were so ready to play with other friends. They love each other and play very well together, but months of not being with other kids really taught them where each other’s buttons were.

One “”””new normal”””” change that I think will actually stay around long term are the QR code menus at restaurants. At least with cheap, frillless places

It makes too much sense. You can update it easily (menu items, prices, etc), don’t have to worry about passing them out and whatever and its much better for the environment

I'll probably continue to use DoorDash when this is all over, most of the time.

It took me 2 hours and 26 minutes to get my new driver's license at the DMV today.

I didn't get the REAL ID yet, either.
PA has resumed issuing REAL IDs, if you wanted to go ahead and do that now.

When's the new deadline?

I'll probably wait until then.

I have to get a new one in November. Mustache, chops and hair haven't been touched since February. Going to be an amazing drivers license.

I'd be ok with that. I can zoom in so my 50 year old eyes can easily read everything instead of going, "why is it so dark in here???" :slug:

Next couple of days are going to be artificially high. A lot of states are going to start reporting antigen test results from months ago. Arizona at least acknowledging that they are doing that. Most states do not.

No. Just most states don’t unless you dig in their results. Are you going to contribute to the thread meaningfully or just do these types of posts?
