As far as I'm aware, yes.

Must be nice to be a politician.
COVID-19
I remembered it didn't last long. Not really. They had one week where they allowed some students to return. These students were classified as "vulnerable" students meaning they had extreme difficulties with remote learning. Overall, something like 800 students returned out of 23,300. My fiance had one student in her entire school. They were in school for four days (Wednesday was Veterans Day) and they returned to 100% remote the next week.PPS moved to hybrid about a month (few weeks?) ago with the option to remain remote.Yeah, catholic schools are their own thing. I actually just heard over the weekend that catholic school enrollment actually went up since they were back to in person while PPS has been remote all year.

Since it is parent dependent, I can't see much good happening. From what I read here, there are a lot of pretty stupid people/parents out there. Plus a lot of parents have to go to work and can't help with virtual schooling.Yeah... the biggest issue with virtual is that it amplifies the most critical influence on a student's educational development: parents.

Yeah, yeaaahhhhhh...I had a feeling that might attract some attention...
She's actually someone I've been friends with for a few years as part of our friend group (the core of us that do music shows and festivals and all that stuff) and we're both not big on relationships in general...but she started to get a little flirty on a couple of our group things, so I took a crack at it...and full well knowing all the places I meet people are closed (bars, music shows, ya know...underground raves haha, etc.) - I was like, "all right, let's keep this going and see what happens" and because we know each other so well, it's pretty comfortable, I'm enjoying it, tbh...so much less work too...
So, yeah...I told her that the honeymoon period ends after this weekend, technically...so...that'll be the real test haha
But your ol' pal mikey is doing what it takes to survive...pray for me.

7 hours in a line with people? Well if it was negative before...gf waited seven hours for a walk-in covid test this morning in NYC...yikes.
(negative though, same for her two roommates, so that's good)...

There was a line out the door of the liquor store in Aspinwall today.

My mom, sister and brother in law live together on a farm in Alabama. They live in separate buildings on the property. My brother in law tested positive for COVID yesterday; it's thought that he contracted it during his USCG Reserve drill weekend.
My mom is symptomatic and is getting tested. I'm worried sick... She just turned 60 but she smoked for many, many years. And to top it off she is still insistent on doing a "COVID safe" Thanksgiving with my brother in law included tomorrow...even before she was symptomatic. Ugh
