So what do I do then, not get the shot?
I’m not trying to break hippo laws, but there is someone in our system that has had over 10 covid vaccines.

Do whatever makes you feel most comfortable

Like I went to primary care doctor, was told to get it based on length of time, I'm personally worried about travel. I've already had COVID once.

Yup. It’s passed the point of doing it on a schedule because that’s what is best for everyone to a point of do whatever you want/feel is right.

If you are worried about travel, get boosted before travel

NTP is thinking about the start of the school year and is going to get boosted before that

I want my life back to normal as close as possible. I’m going to get it when I already am getting another vaccine

You do you homie.

It's entirely up to you. The current shot will give you a bit more protection against infection for a few months. AFAIK, you're protected from hospitalization/death for about the same with 3 shots vs 4. Cases were definitely rising but they've since been on a downward track for the past 2-3 weeks. If you're worried, go for it. Personally I'm holding out for the Omicron specific booster since that will better protect from infection.

Listen, man. If you want some more nanobots in you, go for it. But I'm a pure blood kind of guy, ya know? Natural immunities n'at.

But cases aren't rising. I'm holding off for the omicron specific booster in the fall. There's really no point to get the same shot again considering protection against infection is basically the same along with hospitalization/death rate. Give me that omicron mix.
I certainly live in a different area than most of you and our cases, as released by the health department don't seem bad but the cases in my social circles ARE rising so I'm glad to have had the option of getting my additional booster.
my friends that have it all say, "it's like a sinus infection" so I see it like this: I don't want a sinus infection either so if having some side effects for a day or so (I'm lucky that all my shot side effects have been mild) prevents that, I'm in.

I am renting (for another week!) one unit of a duplex, built by a family friend's grandfather back in the 50s. The family - four sisters in their 60s and 70s - share it and the other unit among their adult children.

I noticed a car at the other unit, and a woman and her young son were outside. They said hello, as the entire family knows I'm there. The walls are very, very thin and the boy and his mother were coughing all night. I got a text this morning from my landlord that her niece and great-nephew were there quaranting away from the husband and other children.

Ugh. I wasn't within 20 feet of them, and it was outside, but yuck. It sounded like a tuberculosis clinic over there all night.

Where do you live? Allegheny Co has been on the downward trend for the last 3 weeks at least. It's a very slow trend though.

it wouldn't surprise me. 4 different friends, 3 vaxxed, 1 not have all tested positive in the last few weeks. the 3 vaxxed are some of the most careful people I know. all have been "mild" describing it as a bad sinus infection.

Turned away from getting a booster. Pharmacist was wondering why the doctor told me to get another one based on the current criteria. Just told the guy I don't know, I just work here, and was sent here bit.
