also can we normalize people getting COVID? people call and say i have to schedule this meeting and probably for the next 10 days or so. i say sounds like covid - hope you are feeling ok. they sheepishly say yeah like its a scourge or a scarlet letter. who cares - everyone is getting it/had it

Covid only. I thought about flu, but the 5 of us had been quarantined since Jan 8 so I doubt flu would have just popped up 10 days later with just me.

What you originally thought was covid could have been the flu though which might be why your first PCR was negative. Then you layered covid on top.

Btw my flurona son is back to 100%. Fever broke Wednesday night, minor cold like symptoms yesterday, no detectable symptoms today.

Pregnant wife sick now though. Yesterday she had severe body aches. Today she said just a headache and fatigue and feels way better than she did

Just found out the girl my daughter carpools with (we alternate weeks) has COVID, along with her sister. My daughter has been a little congested the last couple days.

Happy I'm boosted but the constant anxiety is real. Time to break into my nuclear stockpile of test kits in the morning

Unvaccinated NFL players no longer required to test daily for covid.

We're getting closer and closer guys...

It’s just a coincidence that they stopped testing come playoff time right?

Pure coincidence that athletes in their prime physical condition stop getting tested during the most important time of their work year for a virus that doesn't cause significant harm to practicality all athletes infected by said virus

I mean obviously the NFL stopped testing but as I said before, they should’ve not cared about testing anyway. Everyone that plays, coaches or works for a team understands the risks

And who are these professional athletes dropping dead? You'd think we would've heard about them by now, since their deaths on the field would've been televised.

Professional cricket players from Canada. That’s why there are so few playing it there now

My son (2) is now positive. We got an email an hour ago that his school was closing Monday due to two teacher covid cases so this is not surprising.

Still negative and asymptomatic here so I'm gonna isolate upstairs for a few days. Honestly, this is proof in action that the booster works imo. I've been surrounded by covid in my house for two weeks with not so much as a sniffle

My wife and daughter have been on and off sick since Thanksgiving (pretty much no off for my wife unfortunately) and I haven’t had a sniffle yet.

Other than a confirmed flu A case (which I got my shot this year), they’ve just been colds. People have definitely gone back closer to “normal” with masking and staying away when sick. Last season we didn’t have much of anything go through the house. This year, it’s nonstop.
