AHN schedules the 2nd dose at the time they administer the first
We are scheduling both at the same time. Epic auto assigns the second appointment after you pick your first dose.

In reading that chart I really wanted Fact No. 6 to be "Epstein didn't kill himself." oh well.

My wife did get her email today from UPMC when she logged in at work. Today was day 20. She is scheduled for her second shot today at 1:30pm. It helps because if she does have any sort of nasty side effects she is off the next two days rather than having to be in clinic if she would have got it early next week.

Your wife is a better man than I am. I scheduled mine for Wednesdays because if I have any side-effects, I want them to be during the work week.

I suggested the same to her haha, but she feels bad about missing work in general but especially a clinic day... even though she has plenty of time to use.

My wife is due to have her second shot the day of my daughter's first birthday. She's hoping to delay it a day or two, but that pushes it into the weekend. Not sure if they are giving shots on the weekend.

I heard during the White House press briefing today that NY state is out of vaccines, and won't get any more until Tuesday.

Clearly on the decline. Looks like about a 20% case improvement nationwide week over week for the last few days. Hopefully that's the last time its up that high

No doubt about it. That said, this shouldn't be surprising. Just like any other bloated government agency, the CDC has plenty of faceless bureaucrats counting down the days until retirement. That doesn't mean there aren't some great scientists and other public health officials that work there, but unfortunately I'm sure there are plenty of lousy ones entrenched as well.
