COVID-19
Took the kiddo in for her first dose this morning. We found a moderna site (2 shots are better than 3 imo). I wasn't sure what to expect with her getting the shot. The last few she's screamed and cried. This one, the nurse did it and she just gave a little tough guy sniff and said "I didn't cry at all..."
Nurse gave her a high five and we watched Elmo for the 10 minute wait time. Easy peasy.

COVID-19
LA County officially back in the 'high' transmission tier. We stay here for 2 weeks (as expected) and it'll be back to indoor mask mandates.
Heaven forbid people proactively do it now on their own without having to be told.

Had a work meeting this week, around 50 people. Someone got covid and tested positive for it on Monday before the meetings started. Everything is good, until Wednesday evening, when like 5-10 people who knew this guy had covid, hung out with him around a fire and then all went back to the meetings on Thursday.
Rumors started, and people were getting outwardly shunned on Thursday as a large group of people felt that to be entirely disrespectful towards others and the meeting.
I'm home, tested twice and both times negative so far, but I really hope I don't get anything as I'm going on vacation next Saturday.

what’s wrong with plaques??My thoughts exactly. I avoided them like the plaque from that moment on. I found it to be incredibly disrespectful to everyone who attended that event. Those people are just irresponsible dadholes.

It’s bad for your teeth
COVID-19
So I was positive from Monday to Saturday. I felt pretty crappy for two days, during which I spent a few hours in bed napping. Overall it was mostly just a bad cold, thankfully. I still have a bit of a lingering cough but that’s it.

So this guy came to a work event 2 days after he tested positive and then admitted it when he passed it on to a bunch of people. He should be fired for being so dumb as to admit his **** up.Had a work meeting this week, around 50 people. Someone got covid and tested positive for it on Monday before the meetings started. So I don't know the full details. As far as I knew, he flew in from the UK, then tested positive the day he arrived, on Monday. He didn't attend the event, but went to dinner with some people prior to testing positive, then another group of people ended up hanging out with him on Wednesday evening, KNOWING he was positive, or had tested positive. So this guy came to a work event 2 days after he tested positive and then admitted it when he passed it on to a bunch of people. Been having fever/chills and on and off headaches for the past 2-3 days. Tested negative twice but I can’t imagine this being anything other than Covid. Going to CVS today to get another test

COVID-19
My boss just came back from two weeks' vacation. He got COVID 3 days into it, and today was the first day he felt well enough to leave the house. Ugh. (Multiple negative tests from late last week, wearing a mask now, etc.)

I'm negative but still have a cough and a bit of sinus issues. I figured nobody wants somebody who just had Covid and is still coughing around them so I'm gonna milk the WFH for another week.My boss just came back from two weeks' vacation. Another negative test. Nurse practitioner thought maybe Lyme disease but fever is pretty low and no signs of a rash and no joint pain. Says it’s probably just a random virus.Been having fever/chills and on and off headaches for the past 2-3 days. Tested negative twice but I can’t imagine this being anything other than Covid. Junior just took some Moderna in his leg like a champ. Not a tear shed.
COVID-19
Speaking of Paxlovid, my aunt took it and experienced what they call "Paxlovid rebound." Basically what happened was she got Covid, took Paxlovid, tested negative 5 days later, 2-3 days after that she experienced symptoms again and tested positive. Both of her bouts were mild, thankfully, but what a bummer.
