Calling your 2nd son prince is just making him feel better about the fact that he's nothing but the understudy to the rightful heir.

Probably why Scar was such a dick

Well we know which kid KC likes best.
I was thinking the same.

He's all in on the first born getting the lion's share.

Based on the Worldometers site and other data sources, it looks like the north-east and northern-midwest United States (PA, NY, NJ, IL, OH, CT, MI, etc.) may have hit their Omicron case peaks around Jan. 11-13 or so and are now on the back side of the wave. I'm betting wee see way fewer cases by the end of next week.

Yup. Numbers are falling, and falling fast. Hopefully this burns the pandemic out and we can enter into the endemic phase.

Still dealing with the occasional sinus headache. Breathing just fine, but if I ever have to blow my nose I can feel a release of pressure afterward followed by a headache. Hope this isn’t the long covid form of omicron.

Nasal rinse daily throughout my symptoms really helped a lot

Is that when you flush your brain out? My wife does that and it freaks me out. Doesn’t help when you read stories of people getting a flesh eating amoeba from doing it (yes I know, use distilled water and clean the rinser)

Fast rise fast fall is how it played out in South Africa and the UK. Looked like about 4 weeks up and we had just surpassed that 4 week mark

I had to go inside Giant Eagle this morning. Big mistake. Usually 80% of the people there are masked and the crowd is typically small, but due to the coming storm all of the inbred MFers who couldn't get into Walmart must have gone there. Maybe 10% of the crowd was masked and it was packed. I was stuck in line for 20+ minutes waiting to check out. It'll be a miracle if I make it out unscathed.

Just gotta get used to it. I boil water and let it cool first to be safe, and you have to make sure that you let the mixture dissolve completely. It really does work well when you’re congested.

No vaccine, no French Open for Djokovic as rules tighten
https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sport ... 022-01-17/

This might be better for a sports thread but this is hilarious. Djokovic is one grand slam win away from breaking the record and he can’t because muh freedoms.

Haven't had symptoms last two days and thought I was done with this and then I woke up with a scratchy throat and nagging dry cough. Annoying.

My cousin's wife is about to lose her baby (not 100% yet but not looking good) and the working theory is that it's related to her having covid about a month ago. She's in the 2nd trimester. I'm sick

That's terrible... my brother lost their kid in the first trimester and that was really hard on them. Then I saw on FB a friend of mine from high school lost his kid when he was just under a year old and another lost hers when she was just over two. This was all within the last few years. I had no words. I couldn't even imagine it. None of it was COVID related, but just... ugh. Hug your kid(s) extra tonight.

9 yo had a headache and fever, tested positive today. I have had my usual sinus junk but tested negative. We'll get tested a second time tomorrow, but it appears our 5 day isolation has commenced.
