It seems like our inpatient tests are taking up to 24 now. I don’t know what’s upThat is awful.
Our system has an in house lab and they turn around a test in four hours

Local distillery had a BBQ and a pierogi truck put front and were selling premade cocktails all to go. Had an enjoyable picnic with my family this evening. The distillery has been making its own hand sanitizer too which they gave free as you were leaving along with a centrifuge tube full of it with every purchase. A little dose of normalcy for the evening.

Is that because it’s the young dingleberries who are going out? Or that PA as a whole is pretty young?https://lancasteronline.com/news/local/ ... ddd71.html

I think a lot of people under 50 test positive. It's us old guys who sometimes don't hang around. I was trying to find median death age of PA covid19 deaths but can't find it anywhere. Is that because it’s the young dingleberries who are going out? - US now at the top of the charts. Almost 15,000 new cases so far today, putting us about 2,000 ahead of China.
- Today’s extremely nice weather has absolutely killed the responsible social distancing that was going on in our neighborhood.

Yeah, saw we were at the top in cases, At least we are 6th in deaths. China has been getting only 50 or 60 cases a day for a few weeks. At least that is what they say.
Looks like New York ranks 6th in the world in cases.

This was the breakdown from that Lancaster online article:
• Age 0-4: Less than 1%
• Age 5-12: Less than 1%
• Age 13-18: 1.5%
• Age 19-24: 12%
• Age 25-49: 39%
• Age 50-64: 28%
• Age 65 or older: 18%
I've seen this in a bunch of different articles. The age ranges seem odd to me. 25-49 seems significantly bigger than the rest. Is this a common way to break down other medical conditions?

It's interesting hearing stories out of Ireland right now. The government has been very proactive and has been testing extensively now. They still have hospital beds and since they are one of the worlds leading manufacturers of ventilators/respirators (who knew!?) they also seem to be ahead of the game there. And influx of Irish citizens abroad (retired or otherwise) have come home to help. There is a massive volunteer effort for healthcare related workers to help (60,000 people have signed up as of last week). The police are out doing deliveries of food to the elderly. The elderly have been self-isolating for weeks but have massive community support. There has also been a lot of support for people laid off during this and they are looking into helping self-employeed as well (more of a focus on people instead of businesses). With sports cancelled, the younger athletes have been going to do shopping and deliveries for all the local elderly. And whats interesting is they only have travel advisories, but no restrictions as far as I know. They haven't banned travel. It's interesting to compare to MA, which has seen a much quicker rise in cases compared.
The Prime Minister, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, is a trained doctor, so I think that helps a lot in the response. And they are also between governments right now, and its been interesting to see how that effect the political landscape going forward because people seem very happy with his and his health ministers response.
And really, this speech was great. I post it before, but it is worth doing again: https://www.thejournal.ie/leo-varadkar- ... =shortlink

And last week, as a wave of stay-at-home orders rolled out across the United States, the average time it took to download videos, emails and documents increased as broadband speeds declined 4.9 percent from the previous week, according to Ookla, a broadband speed testing service. Median download speeds dropped 38 percent in San Jose, Calif., and 24 percent in New York, according to Broadband Now, a consumer broadband research site.
