COVID-19
This is a fairly common side effect listed by users on r/covidvaccinated.Anyone experience a swollen gland/node in the armpit of their injection side at the 1-week mark? Not really painful, but it feels like the node has been replaced with a walnut.

COVID-19
Question for ye professionals: my brothers daughter was in contact with someone on Tuesday who tested positive on Wednesday. My brother and his wife had covid in December. Daughter never developed any symptoms. Supposed to have a birthday party on Saturday for her. Daughter will be only person there that had contact with said person on Tuesday. Everyone at party will be vaxxed up (except my kids who I am concerned about). If she is showing no symptoms, any issues with being there Saturday?

In addition to that, my parents who are fully vaxxed were with the daughter in Wednesday and Thursday. They are fine. Supposed to be my parents, brother family and my family for Saturday. No idea how any of this works. I'm assuming my daughter had covid in December when her parents did.

Party it up, eddy.

And when I say contact, it was a Grandma watching her all day. Not sure if that exposure changes things. Honestly, everyone being vaxxed isn't worrying me (that's why we got them!), It's the kids being around. Being outside the entire time should makes things more comfortable.

We just bought season passes for Idlewild. Obv kids won't be vaxxed and I'm willing to bet a good %age of patrons will not be vaxxed. But it's outside, and they have to wear masks when not on a ride/in the water. I think we'll be OKAnd when I say contact, it was a Grandma watching her all day. Yeah, im concerned knowing she was with someone all day who had covid and it appears she's outside of that 90 day window of last having covid (maybe?) And cdc guidelines say she should technically be quarantining. At 5 days later with no symptoms and being an 8 year old and being outside, I'm sure it will be fine, but damn if I don't think about how good we've been and don't want to screw something up nowWe just bought season passes for Idlewild. 2 of my kids have been going to daycare 2x a week since last June. I've pretty much accepted that they've been exposed to the virus by now. There haven't been any major outbreaks at the daycare, but there have been 2-3 instances of notices going out regarding parents having been exposed or even daycare workers having been exposed.
The data out there shows how little children are affected by this thing. And if they get it, their symptoms are mild. The ones that do become very ill or God forbid die usually have underlying conditions. Any others that don't have underlying conditions that do get the worst of it - I haven't looked at the numbers but my thinking is the risk is around the same for that as it is for contracting any other life threatening disease.

Yeah, brothers wife is a nurse so they'll do the right thing. Yeah...working in the healthcare industry the last decade-plus (not to mention the pandemic) has both increased my respect for nurses, and also made me realize that the universal acceptance that nurses are infallible paragons of health is silly.Driving by hospitals in Philly and seeing a dozen nurses on cigarette breaks at any given moment puts that theory to the test.

I was expecting some arm soreness, but man, it's worse than I expected. I can barely lift my arm above shoulder-level, and definitely woke up a couple times last night.
