Good news but sure seems like we could've launched this effort sooner...

We are reaching out to you in an abundance of caution following last Wednesday's....[outdoor] cocktail hour because we have since learned that individuals who attended the event tested positive for COVID-19 after the event. California law requires we provide written notice that you "may have been exposed to COVID-19" if you attended the...cocktail hour...on July 20th.
I was on the lot and was planning on going, but skipped it. But I spent my indoor time (masked) in an adjacent building, and other attendees and staffers were inside as well. Yay.

Numerous people in my office are testing positive. A lot coming back from vacation. I'm just hoping to hold off until after our vacation in early August.

Welp, finally had a close family member (dad) test positive. He developed symptoms this morning and I was over there on Wednesday.

Tests are usually at Walgreens/Rite Aid/CVS, right?

Looks the US is going to hold off on under 50 second boosters until the updated Omicron specific shots are ready. Current estimates put it at September/October.

If I test negative tomorrow I should be in the clear, right? Or is it 10 days?

Wednesday was contact day. Dad developed symptoms on Friday. Tomorrow will be day 5.

You don’t even need to test if you don’t want to. If you do, if negative you’re good to go on as normal. If positive it’s recommended masking for 5 additional days but you can leave isolation. That’s also the recommendation if you choose not to test.

Allegheny Co. is back in the "High" category for Covid spread. Seems like that's the trend across the country right now.

LA County is still in High but could drop back to Medium as soon as today or tomorrow. But who cares, LAUSD dropped all COVID mitigation measures for the coming school year.

I guess it's more a warning to the olds and sickly now.

My step-Dad went to a family reunion in Minnesota and brought it back with him. So he's off work for a week. He's a process engineer in a hose clamp factory so it's not like he can do it from home.

My brother has Covid for either the second or third time, depending on whether he had it way back in February 2020. This time it's basically just a head cold for him.

Covid in the house. I tested positive yesterday but it was a very dim line and I have no symptoms. My daughter was really symptomatic yesterday but seems to be much better. Unfortunately my wife has it again. She's been dealing with long COVID issues for a while, so hopefully this comes and goes quickly.
