COVID-19
my COVID paranoid friend (He's still wearing a mask at beer league hockey games AFAIK) has a co-worker that's been anti-mask, shamdemic this entire time. he sent me a screen shot of a Facebook post that has her 9ish year old son in the waiting room of his doctor's office wearing a mask with the caption "well, guess we'll be finding a new doctor!" yes because clearly your DOCTOR doesn't know as much about how to prevent the spread of disease as you do.
the interesting side note is that prior to COVID he called her his "work wife" and they were pretty close. now, because they're on opposite sides, they hardly talk anymore.

Do you think they grow up to learn that their parents are morons or grow up to become their parents and the **** status of this country continues in perpetuity? My guess is door number two.

Depends on how old they are at the time, but my guess is also door number two.Do you think they grow up to learn that their parents are morons or grow up to become their parents and the **** status of this country continues in perpetuity? My guess is door number two.

I would guess #2 though an interesting factor would be which number child it is.
I'm a youngest/3rd child and I really don't think I'm anything like my parents were. my older sister (middle child) is basically exactly like our mother.

This is why I don't let our daughter talk about politics, even though she's just parroting what we say for the most part. And even then, I make sure to explain why I say certain things to her so that she understands my point of view. I prefer her focusing on just being a kid.
COVID-19
Probably is #2 even though I was lucky enough to not go that route. I learned recently that my mom switched to Newsmax because Fox pissed her off. I refuse to get into politics with my family at large because of things like that. They'd probably have a collective heart attack if they knew I voted for Sanders in the 2020 primary.
COVID-19
It depends on if the kids are able to get out or not. I know plenty of people who went to college or moved away from home and now no longer talk to their folks because of their insanity. If the kids stay in that little bubble in that little **** town AND your parents are bat **** crazy, they're screwed.

COVID precautions in Europe:
Spent about 14 days in around my old Czech hometown. Say, conservatively, I met 1,000+ new people/day. I met exactly 4 people wearing masks during those 2 weeks.
Then we moved to Prague for a week, with the huge hordes of international tourists from all continents and NYC-like density around all the many sights. Masking still under 1%...
And 2 days before we left, Czech version of CDC announced that the country very successfully dealt with the summer COVID surge, and that the surge is now pretty much over.

My man. I try and avoid it all costs. This is why I don't let our daughter talk about politics, even though she's just parroting what we say for the most part. And even then, I make sure to explain why I say certain things to her so that she understands my point of view. I prefer her focusing on just being a kid.
We simply teach her that she should be respectful and kind towards others, regardless of their political beliefs, religion, etc. Essentially, don't be a dick.
