A) there’s no free will. These people ended up this way because they had no other path. They are in no way responsible for what they’ve become, but they do have to take on the accountability for it. So…it’s not their fault, but they should still be treated like the mutants they are. Thems the breaks.

B) I like meow’s plan. If MAGA CHUDS confront me and my children, the right move seems to be to pause and slowly + loudly explain to my child that the person is a loser in life. That they have ended up an uneducated, obscene rube. That they should be pitied, and nothing that they say or do matters because they are the bottom rung of the social ladder. And that they are likely going to end up poor, unhealthy, hate filled and just a complete waste of human life. And then wish them a blessed day in just the most patronizing way possible.

Depends on what you want to do with the aircraft. If I just want to go up and putter around in the sky on nice days, then the classic six-pack of steam gauges will be plenty. If I want to fly cross-country IFR flights, however, then I want stuff like GPS navigation, WAAS approaches, coupled autopilot, real-time weather information, terrain monitoring, etc. because all of those will decrease the pilot's workload, improve the ease and speed of navigation, and decrease the changes that I screw up, fly into a mountain, and kill myself.

I can't imagine having these aids available to you and chosing to opt out.

There was that poll a while back showing that most republicans considered democrats “the enemy” or something like that. And pearl clutching ensued.

Well…aren’t these people “enemies”? Like - what are we doing here. They supported denying my home state ventilators last year because of how we vote. They harass and assault people who disagree with them. They tried to murder our elected officials 9 months ago.

I don’t know what fantasy land people are living in, but the MAGA wing of the GOP is an enemy faction. The GOP is run by the MAGA wing. These school board protestors and child harassers. They’re…friends?

When GOP politicians are getting booed at Republican events for advocating vaccines, it's pretty easy to tell what direction they end up going. They need the crazy MAGA crowd to get elected. The ones who don't play into their craziness will not last long.
