96% of doctors vaccinated...

That's all you need to know, really. If it was like 50:50, I'd be like "hmmmm... maybe there's something goofy here." No. There is next to no hesitancy among the people that know the absolute most about the human body and how it works. Sort of like global warming scientist.... awww fack. They don't trust those people either.

The number was certainly a small sample size. I'd assume the pollsters did their due diligence and ran the stats to know what the sample size should be so that the poll can be extrapolated, but we all know how pollsters work. Let's say "a large percentage" of doctors?

Yeah, nurses cover a broad spectrum of responsibilities as well. One of my best friends is a pediatric operating room nurse. He has his **** together. My MIL was a nurse at Westmoreland Manor. Not so much....
Ahh.

Yes, there is a certain stereotype in the nursing world. Unfair or not, RNs that have spent most or all of their career in LTC/rehab/home health settings etc. are definitely looked at as "lesser" nurses than acute care RNs. It's definitely not always fair, and a good home health RN can be a godsend for a struggling family. Unfortunately, the shttier nurses tend to get pushed towards the settings above.
My wife and I have had some talks about what life would be like if her parents hadn't died in 2017 and 2018. I'm certain one or both of them would have died of COVID. They were both in bad health and he was an anti-government nut. I'm not saying I'm glad they're gone but I'm guessing that these last 18 months would've been a lot harder with them here.
This is a really s**t place to be in, mentally and emotionally. Ugh.

I know a few nurses and over half of them are smokers. They're all vaccinated though so they're not complete morons.
If you see a lot of nurses Starbucks orders, you will know not all of them are totally into their health haha

https://www.wbtw.com/news/state-regiona ... s-proviso/

So the SC Supreme Court ruled IN FAVOR of the ban on mask mandates in K-12 schools, because the proviso in the state budget bans the use of state funds to enforce mask mandates. So although the city wanted to use its own funds, the teachers who would be enforcing any mask mandate are state employees and get state money.

The spreadnecks are rejoicing.

The only nurse I've personally known as an adult was a super high-level surgical assistant - like in a Drs Without Borders kind of sense - who progressed to administration fairly quickly in her career. She's been at a a large consortium for around 15 years now, and she has had her fill of the numbskllery of the US response to COVID. She's under 50 years old, and she's considering retiring out of the profession, and she and her hubby are planning on moving to the Costa Dorada region of Spain (between Barcelona and Valencia).

My gut reaction was that 90 would be pretty lofty. Most likely 85 is realistic.

The real problem, of course, is that people are focusing on the people eating horse paste and not the people using the normal drug.

I wonder how long its going to be before we see a death because a parent forced their kid to ingest too much of this stuff.

The kid will have died with the stuff, not from the stuff.

In one of the Reddit subs that posts crazy Facebook/Parler/etc covid stuff, somebody recently posted screenshots of multiple threads about ivermectin. One was a woman asking what the dosage should be adjusted to for her under 10 year old daughter. So yeah, these people are definitely out there.

GI docs get colonoscopy money. It’s not a trivial amount of income. Foot doctors get office appointments.

Got a call today that my daughter was a close contact today. Sent her vaccine card in, and she's good to go back tomorrow. A coworker got the same call last week, and her daughter is out 2 weeks because she's not vaxxed. She also is missing two weeks of her sport. She's was saying that she just didn't feel comfortable forcing her kid to take something without knowing the long term effects. I just said, well, this is one of the consequences of that choice, and we also don't know the long term effects of covid yet, but we all have to choose what we feel is best.

When I worked in the film lab at PSU a podiatrist would bring in his film to be developed and printed and I saw some horrific looking feet problems. That's no picnic.

And as someone who severely damaged my foot last summer, I am quite pleased that podiatrists exist.

Yep. Read a while back that you find out all issues with vaccines within the first two months, and we’re way past that point. It’s just an excuse now.
