That said, I wish they would just **** approve the vaccines already and be done with the EAU.
approval won't convince many people where I am. it's not so much the approval but the "they rushed it out! I don't trust them!" crowd.

Tbh I've had the morbid thought of "At what point does this nonsense become electorally significant in places like FL and TX and GA?" but was reluctant to post it here.Wouldn't people be happy that guys like DeSantis are exterminating the unvaxxed in their states?
I just had a 21 year old co-worker from a rural office come by for something and he told me that his "70 something year old" grandfather died after he got the vaccine and they have no idea what he died from so it HAD to be the vaccine.I literally just read a post where a woman admonished that, after her covid vaccine, she came down with a bowel obstruction and sepsis. She's warning everyone not to get the vaccine so they don't end up like her.
too young to die, too stupid to live.
https://www.thestate.com/news/local/edu ... tage_card4In [UofSC professor's] lawsuit, [UofSC Professor's attorney and Democrat state rep) Harpootlian included as an exhibit a fundraising letter that Wilson emailed to donors after getting Pastides to back down from his mask mandate.
Wilson’s email said in part, “The fight over vaccines and masks has never been about science or health. It’s about expanding the government’s control over our daily lives. I won’t stand for it.” Wilson then asked people to send him various amounts of money up to $100.
Wilson also said in the email to donors, “The unelected bureaucrats at the CDC and liberal politicians at every level of government are determined to use the COVID crisis as an excuse to dramatically expand their interference in, and control over, every decision YOU make. They won’t get away with it.”
Harpootlian said, “That email shows that within 24 hours of telling Pastides to reverse his mask mandate, Wilson was raising money off what he told the university. He was monetizing his opinion, he was using it to raise money off of people who were deluded into thinking they have some sort of constitutional right not to wear masks during the greatest public health emergency in a 100 years.”
Our one Trumper neighbor is like this. "These people are all dying of something else, they just had covid, too."I just had a 21 year old co-worker from a rural office come by for something and he told me that his "70 something year old" grandfather died after he got the vaccine and they have no idea what he died from so it HAD to be the vaccine.I literally just read a post where a woman admonished that, after her covid vaccine, she came down with a bowel obstruction and sepsis. too young to die, too stupid to live.
I note that the exact same people who dismiss the 640,000 deaths in the US by saying stuff like, "They didn't die from Covid, they just died with Covid" are also the same people who want to argue that anyone and everyone who died for any reason any time after being vaccinated must have died from the vaccine.
What happens with Reynolds will depend on what happens with this glut of prospects. If guys separate themselves from the pack and look like bona fide major leaguers, then maybe they hang on to Reynolds. But if someone knocks their socks off between now and then, they should take it.
They have a long way to go though.
That’s my impression too.Based on my recollections of being a Pitt student and employee, a significant chunk of the workers in roles like custodial staff, food service, etc. are in the minority groups that are significantly vaccine hesitant.
