COVID-19
The Super Nintendo of our district offered to get on a zoom with my wife and I, after she wrote a semi-concerned email.
Good chat. Subtext implied he agrees that elementary levels need to be mandatory masked until the vaccine is available. The impression I get is that they’ll wait another couple weeks until the numbers get worse, and then force masks for lower grades. And they aren’t doing it now because we have a critical mass of angry Cletus’ that they don’t want to deal with in the meantime.
Meow. There’s a house coming up for sale down the street. Get the hell out of the south. I’ll send you the Zillow.

AA may be screwing up, but I would want to know what those airlines' union contracts say. The airlines are heavily union, and Southwest, American, and Delta might not have the same contract terms as United does in terms of what rules they can impose on employees.
For example, union contracts are the reason that no US airline has ordered any Embraer E2 regional jets even though US regionals operate more than 600 of the E1 versions; Embraer is keeping the E1 production line open specifically to make "old" E175s just for the United States. And the reason is that everyone's union contracts have "scope clauses" that say that the jets operated by the regionals that fly as American Eagle, Delta Connection, and United Express cannot have a MTOW greater than 86,000 lbs., the E175E2 is heavier than that, and the pilots' unions won't budge an inch even though the E175E2 wouldn't carry any more passengers than the E1.

Can you imagine the conversations they have to endure from the anti-vaxxers. They're underpaid whatever they make. The Super Nintendo of our district offered to get on a zoom with my wife and I, after she wrote a semi-concerned email.

We were incredibly gracious, and when I mentioned that the volume of dissenting voices doesn’t seem to match the representation of dissenting voices…I could tell he’s tired of these people. Can you imagine the conversations they have to endure from the anti-vaxxers. Though ultimately it’s up to the board. So we’ll find out how redneck the town is soon enough.
