My home county is at 18% vaccinated and you can get a vaccine within a day or two at numerous locations. I'll be surprised if we ever top 40%. Meanwhile the county had another 55 cases today.

You keep the vaccines
Why? For what?
Because there will inevitably be knuckleheads that want vaccinated once stuff opens up.

Good thing production has ramped up to the point of covering it.

Main point being, there is vaccine saturation going on. Even with J&J being off line temporarily - supply is starting to outpace demand. Restrictions need lifted soon. It is turning into a silly situation

Didn't Biden say he wants all states to open up vaccines to every adult on 4/19 if they haven't already?

Demand needs to be higher. How do we do that?

I really don't think anything, short of large cash payments, is going to increase demand.

Then make the next stimulus package contingent on getting vaccinated. Get your check on your way out.

I think by Memorial Day you gotta lift the mask mandate stuff right? Assuming things keep going as they are.

We definitely need an incentive for getting the vaccine. I mean more than just “not dying of Covid” and “protecting your community.”

It’s all illegal at the moment. Some companies have tried, but it is getting shot down courts by and large

That's the thing though. The overwhelming majority of people refusing the vaccine are the same ones who've been fighting masks, social distancing, etc. for the past year. They're the people who say covid is less deadly than the flu and keep insisting, "We're all going to get it anyway/it's never going away so we just need to live with it." How do you convince those people to get a vaccine? I really don't think anything will make it happen.

Is it? What about the Sabres and Bills saying only vaccinated fans can attend games?

Oh I’m saying companies offering incentives for employees to get it. From what I’ve heard, it is because the vaccines are emergency uses. I think the Marines are having the same issue. The Sabres and Bills are offering a service and I guess can technically deny anyone for any reason.

UPMC offering home visits for COVID-19 vaccine

https://www.wearecentralpa.com/news/upmc-home-vaccine/
After one million COVID-19 cases and over 25,000 deaths in Pennsylvania, UPMC Altoona and Bedford are stepping up in the fight to stop the pandemic by offering home visits for those who can’t get into COVID-19 vaccine clinics.

Across the state, UPMC has already administered more than 400,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, with more than 16,000 provided in Central Pa.

“Our physicians and some of our areas on aging have reached out and helped us select some patients that are having difficulty getting into the vaccination sites and we are able to go out to their homes and provide them with a much-needed vaccination,” Michael Corse, Vice President of Operations for UPMC said.

Eighty-seven-year-old Betty Ford is on the list for a home vaccination because she has a hard time leaving her home.

“I was on the fence for a while, so I’ll just be glad when it’s all over,” she said.

“I’m glad that they came to my house to do it that was very important. Why is that important? Because I can’t go nowhere, I’m a little housebound,” Ford explained.

With a doctor and nurse from UPMC on hand, Ms. Betty rolled up her sleeve ready for her first dose. With a quick prick of a needle, it was over in a second. Then a bandage was applied. Michael Corso said it’s all about saving lives one day at a time.

“The more vaccinations we can get out the better off everybody is going to be,” Corso said.

For more information, you can visit UPMC’s website.

A few months ago, I heard someone say make vaccination a condition precedent for getting a stimulus check. Though that was an interesting approach.

Not going well like no one wants it? Not going well like it’s hard to execute? Or not going well in the pitt athletic sense were a lack of talent, lack of organization and plenty of bad luck work in tandem
